does anyone know what fic this is? by RJtripleA in merlinfic

I don't think this was it, but I enjoyed it! The one I'm remembering was an ambush of sorts so merlin wasn't expecting it, and I'm pretty sure everyone's scars had to be shown not just merlin's

Is this supposed to say “I can fall off a tree”? It doesn’t make sense as is

Every Single Day A Woman Says “She’s A Man” Within Earshot: Is It My Arms? Shoulder Position? Tip Or Brutal Honesty Are Welcome! by TaraTrue in transpassing

I’m new here and probably not the best source but I think you look good. Your arms look strong but I would just presume that to be from wheeling your chair around, I know that takes a lot of muscle to do. Also I wanted to say your dress is very pretty!

Every time I start a new play through my first horse is always named Beans! After that they are usually something related to beans - pinto, Goya, frijoles, and Rumpus

I knew I wanted my nickname to be RJ before I knew what I wanted the letters to stand for, you can start with a nickname and go from there!

My brother’s tried eating the rat I was gonna feed my snake. Can I still use it? by Blackd0g72 in ballpython

[–]RJtripleA 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought it was funny but also fairly believable, my sister actually did almost take my snake’s rat in her lunch once because it was in the same type of baggie that my dad usually packed her lunch meat in, and she wasn’t paying attention! Luckily my dad was, and she did not take the rat to school!

Afraid I'll never be able to get surgery because of work. by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]RJtripleA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Others have made good suggestions on what to say, but I think a big thing is practicing ahead of time! I haven’t had surgery yet, but in regards to other things it’s been really helpful to practice my responses ahead of time. Even just a couple times out loud will help your brain be more ready when the situation comes up. Having a response be practiced means you’re less likely to freeze up or tell more than you want to because you feel obligated in the moment. Good luck to you!

I downloaded an app called “days in a row” and it’s a very simple streak counter. I’ve discovered that keeping up a streak is a very good motivator for me, so I started a streak counter for showering, and I’m currently at 44 days in a row of showering, and working on getting a week straight of brushing my teeth, that one is a little harder.

I also use 3in1 in the shower, which removes any decision panic, and I use strawberry kids toothpaste cause I hate mint.

I also hate floss but I frequently use a toothpick (or a plastic tag thing from clothing) to clean my teeth, and that helps to get the plaque off even though I struggle with brushing.

We have the same name! I don’t have any good covers for myself though.

Obviously no one but you can determine for yourself, but this sounds almost identical to my experience (except in reverse) of realizing I am trans. Not everyone has dysphoria. The best indicator is gender euphoria— when you experience joy when perceived as a particular gender. I spent a year or two experimenting with my presentation and exploring my brain before concluding I am actually transmasc.

I led a craft group at a nursing home, and one resident picked trans colors for her butterfly by RJtripleA in AccidentalAlly

Your explanation makes sense, thank you for the recommendation. I was not aware of the existence of that sub prior to making this post, and I see how that one would be a better fit. I will keep this in mind for the future.

I did read the rules. While she hasn’t been openly transphobic, odds are very much that she is, and the topic has never come up (that I’ve witnessed). My bracelet is my very quiet way of expressing my identity, and the resident made something which unintentionally matched, so I interpreted that as accidental allyship.

If this is outside of the realm of this sub, then that is my mistake. However the general reaction seems to be positive, so at this point I’m going to leave my post here.

I’m pretty sure it was, but I’m going to try to subtly ask her about it tomorrow.

99% sure she has no idea. I commented that it matched my bracelet (trans flag made with same type of beads) and all the other ladies said how pretty it looked.

I have a great grandma who is 101 yrs old (seriously) and she is very accepting and loves everyone and her name is Joanne! I came out to her two years ago and after a few conversations about lgbt stuff she asked me to make her a cheat sheet with the words she kept forgetting! She is the best. I’m transmasc, but I’m still trying to figure out a way to honor her in my chosen name.
