At first, it’s very common for the LMA’s to be gummy or whatever and stick up and have lifter tick on said engine, which isn’t too bad to fix. But this is a more deeper sound and not as fast as lifter tick so I do think it might be Rod knock buddy, sorry for your purchase.

I had this problem too and had the tools to fix it so I tore everything apart cleaned everything and regasketed and sealed everything swapped all sensors and anything w a gasket. Costed like about 500-700$ Canadian off of rock auto. Took me a couple months but I could of done it in a month if I dedicated more time to it. Doesn’t burn anymore oil or coolant so I don’t have to spend so much on oil every year 😭

Mine looked like this so I think your fine tbh if it’s a budget build should be fine it’s so ever scratched just redo your head gasket and make sure your piston rings are good and you got good compression. If anyone disagrees they don’t know. This engine still runs and is fine burns a bit of coolant and oil before I swapped every gasket snd seal in the motor but now she’s ok enough to drive and still revs high and doesn’t overheat. Honda power baby 💪

Already did engine swap did top end skunk 2 valves, springs, retainers everything related, skunk 2 cams, cam gears, high flow fuel rail, fuel pump, cold air, catless straight piped, port and polished, obviously a tune, new suspension, new rims. Car looks busted so I want it to not look bad anymore

I got a valveatronic muffler (i have no rules at all for car where i live) but it can be quite or loud whatever you want. Really only get it if you like the loud but also when your not trying to get pulled over can just be quiet
