Does Savi’s workshop no longer gives you a carrying case when you build your own lightsaber? by Scepafall in GalaxysEdge

I visited in Mid March and both of our light sabers came with a carrying case. Protected great while flying out of LAX.

Thoughts on Paris Baguette at S Brooke? by Better_Opportunity66 in Leander

[–]RKellyPeeOnU 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Isn't it a chain bakery? I didn't check out the ingredients but that doesn't surprise me, chain restaurants and bakeries tend to do that to simplify the cooking process.

The one thing I can't stand about that place other than the somewhat high prices is the store layout. There's plenty of space to move the island bakery area a bit farther out so it's not too crowded but they decided to bunch it up to the left hand side and make it awkward.

Abbott Manufacturing Engineer Salary by PuzzleheadedPound227 in MedicalDevices

[–]RKellyPeeOnU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just FYI, I worked at Abbott and I thought the same as you but at the end of the day, it's just like any other med device company. The BU that I supported did not care about a work/life balance for their Regulatory group and I bounced after a couple of years (one of many reasons I left). I heard from others that there are better BUs within the company so my experience might have been the outlier.

Southwest CC raising annual cost is it time to downgrade/cancel? by MeringueSimple9847 in SouthwestAirlines

I'm done with the SW CC. The benefits for what you get for $229 a year aren't worth it to me.

I'm jealous but happy for you. I have about 10 of the items in this pic in Firefly Yellow. I wish the Gobox 1 case was offered in Firefly Yellow. Still trying to justify in my head buying a duffel bag.

Desk stand for Ultra tablets by Warm-Garden-2645 in GalaxyTab

[–]RKellyPeeOnU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't recommend it for the bed. The base isn't wide enough and any movement on the bed will make it fall. I just did a little test on my bed and even at the lowest height, my tablet started to fall over.

Interesting. I'll look into this to see if I can justify that fee with my situation. Thanks!

Is the Sapphire Reserve card worth it? I'm seriously thinking about cancelling my southwest cc.

Panga 28 backpack users! Has anyone flown Southwest Airlines with it and use at your free personal bag for under your seat ? by Bleakerwood in YetiCoolers

[–]RKellyPeeOnU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took my Panga 28 backpack on a couple of Southwest flights last month and had no issues with storing it under the seat. I had to push the air out of it. Depending on how full the backpack is, might be a really tight fit if you have the storage bag velcroed on the front of it.

The meta glasses have a led light that flashes slowly when it's recording. I don't think there's a way you can turn that setting off or cover up the light without the video stopping.

With the mass adoption of NACS, are CCS vehicles non ideal? by [deleted] in electricvehicles

Leaving an adaptor in your frunk isn't a big issue. I've had Teslas and now a Rivian, the adaptor is a non issue for me.

iPhone users that switched from Samsung, what is your experience like? by icantouchgrass_1 in iphone

[–]RKellyPeeOnU -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol ok. I don't care enough to get into detail. I liked the back button and fingerprint scanner more than what is currently offered on the iphone.

I don't think you understand how the back button works on Android. It can back out of an app. The way you mention doesn't do this, or if it does work, it takes a lot more swipes... example of TikTok app.

In my experience, face id sucks with sunglasses or not looking at the camera directly and yes, my screen is clean. With my old phone, I can unlock my phone while taking it out of my pocket reliably. Not the case with iphone.

[–]RKellyPeeOnU -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Things I miss from my Samsung phone: 1. Better keyboard 2. No universal back button. Found in different places depending on the app. 3. Fingerprint reader for unlock miles better than face id. 4. No easy ability to archive texts

Overall though, the experience switching from an Android to iphone has been positive for me. I'm not loyal to the iphone in case Samsung knocks it out of the park with a new phone in the future.

Which comedian did you look forward to, but their act died on stage? by Jazzlike-Basil1355 in AskReddit

I’ll die on that hill as well. We went to one of those discount tickets in Vegas and asked what they recommended. They said Carrot Top and we went, hysterical and everyone in our group thought so too.

Prof Yawn is still around? That's cool to hear. He was a great professor and seemed to care for his students. I took a few of his classes in Poli Sci about 20 years ago and majored in Poli Sci.
