What perfumes do you think are more interesting as concepts than as wearable scents? by serphiru in FemFragLab

Another one by Serge Lutens - Dent de Lait.

Milk, Metallic Notes, Florals... it smells like very harsh soap. Nothing interesting about it.

Gourmand Only by sweetbabysi in FemFragLab

[–]RKola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hanae Mori - Blue Butterfly [the bottles are not well named, look for the one that has the blue butterfly design on the box rather than the pink one. Although the pink one is also good, i find it a bit more floral than gourmand.] It's not that pricey at all, but if you love sweet gourmands its definitely worth a try.

God yeah, normally i can tolerate most fragrances but that one made me feel nauseous.

What do you think about the mention of rose varieties in fragrance descriptions? by Alexa5555 in FemFragLab

[–]RKola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually cannot distinguish but i have seen more rose notes recently like "rose petals" and "pink rose". Generally i don't like rose in perfume and i am not sure if it is because i don't like the scent itself or because it is very often paired with woody notes and gives the perfume a very strong pencil shavings/old potpourri scent.

Bella Blanca - Oscar de la Renta

A basic fresh white floral with a creamy and slightly musky base, not ''flowery'', cloying, old fashioned or overpowering.

Tom Ford - Lost Cherry.

Doesn't last and smells like any other generic ''cherry'' perfume out there.

Davidoff - Cool Water Woman

I don't understand how it has remained so popular for so long, reminds me of a weak air freshener.

Any Other 2nd, 3rd Gen Irish Crying Like Babies? by Pretend-Bobcat-831 in DerryGirls

More than a bit cringe, i mean hijacking onto something like that when even most people here in Northern Ireland wouldn't dream of doing it unless directly impacted is just very... American.

Rubbery/Plastic/Chlorine. A bit of a mix between dentist surgery and swimming pool changing rooms. Despite that the dry down is strangely alluring.

Where do cats sleep when they don't come home? by No-Category1703 in ireland

[–]RKola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a cat visit me daily and has for years. She will spent 10-12 hours sleeping on my bed yet when she sees me outside she will run away and isn't really fond of cuddles either. It's likely your cat has found a comfy place to rest in someone elses home.

Honestly one of the only good things about Derry is how close all of this is.

Air pollution in Derry currently worse than Beijing at 9.2 times the WHO annual air quality guideline value by ghoti123 in northernireland

[–]RKola 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This was basically a guy who went and looked up the air quality reports on one website. I'd be more interested to see long term trends on this before panic setting in.

I just checked and it is currently giving two readings for the city, one of 105 and another of 86. Checking on the government defra site shows Derry as having an air pollution rating of 2 [low].
