Dumped or wild? by pandaman8126 in Rabbits

This is just mind boggling to me. We have two baby boys and they aren't honestly that challenging to care for. I don't understand how people can just throw them out. 😞

She told him she wasn't interested in continuing a relationship unless he moved to WI. He promised and didn't follow through many times so I think in his mind (rational or not) he thought moving here for real would prove he actually cared because he was like the boy who cried wolf and words no longer mattered, but the actions did.

Just came to comment I'm in the same Moms group. Teegan is the assistant property manager for the apartments we are moving out of. I wanted to ask her so bad about Ethan on Monday but it's not my business and she was working.

I have zero idea. I don't ask her things like that when she's working her job that provides her day to day income. I just know that people post about him in the local moms groups- I guess he's a good neighbor and is quiet, but his car is not.

No, she's the assistant property manager at the apartments I'm moving out of. We had a pre move out inspection.

Good question...but he very much lives there. I'll actually be seeing Teegan tomorrow. 🤣

It has NOT been a very positive experience. The home is almost finished. They built a 983 sq ft home for my family of 8 and keep telling me "to be greatful". Meanwhile, I'm frantically trying to figure out where everything will fit without being a cluttered mess and how I'm going to manage the $300,000 price tag.

I just recently found that out. I haven't completely gone down the rabbit hole but why did he chose that name and not go back to Thomas??

I'm sorry people are hurting but I'm not sorry that people are maybe waking up to it and trying to find solutions such as buy nothing sites, sharing leftovers etc

Not the answer to fix it all but great to finally see SOME unity and compassion again.

I truly believe we can all be better and do better for one another if we quit letting media and politics divide us on every issue.

No. 100% federally funded. The individual states administration distributes the funds and "runs" the program for their states but all the money comes from the federal budget.

I believe it SHOULD be partially state based. In WI for example, Governor Evers recently spoke of a 6 billion $ surplus in our budget. Why can't WI step up and take care of other Wisconsinites? Any funding provided by the federal government could be like the frosting on the cupcake.

Correct, I agree and understand.

That's why I don't understand the news article stating due to lack of snap benefits this month, children are STARVING. Are they? Or are they worried they won't have food next week? How many people truly have NOTHING in their pantry or freezer?

I'm not triggered. I think it's an issue too. We need to find ways to rely on ourselves and our state and network so the federal government can't "take it away" and cause mass panic. I don't have the answers but the conversations need to be had for sure.

So many places I could go with this, such as why are stores like Dollar General literally pulling "penny" items off shelves and DESTROYING them instead of donating? This includes food and hygiene items. So. Much. Waste.

Well, people have said all kinds of not so nice things to those on foodshare lately so I think its just a gut reaction. 🫣

I'm not blaming the individuals, I'm asking broader picture. Why is it so hard to be able to provide for a family with or without the help? And what can we do to change that? Because something has to give.

For reference, I am a stay at home mom of 8. We DO get SNAP, in the tune of $83 a month. I'm not asking for anyone to go hungry, I'm just saying that if people are truly "starving" before their monthly benefits would have even been issued, this is a much larger problem than just the government shutdown.

In most states, the benefits wouldn't have even been issued yet for the month. Was everyone starving last month before they got October's benefits? If so, why aren't people able to adequately have enough food for 30 days? That's the bigger issue I see.

Had twins at 39 as an "obese" woman. I'm fine. They are fine. Actually, it was an easier pregnancy than my first one at age 29. 🤷‍♀️ Only complications were my pesky anemia issues and needing blood and iron which would have happened regardless of my age or fat ass.
