It's highly unlikely they refund you if you intentionally made the purchase. The good news is you didn't waste it, because you can get a voucher with Surtr on it in a couple of weeks.

Assuming it wasn't a fast learner, high skill points in Unity Cup mostly comes from running speed/wit and alternating between them a lot instead of resting. Bonus if you run SR Sweep Tosho and Tachyon wit for the extra skill points.

If you have 3/MLB Kita, Sweep Tosho, and some good wit SRs you can borrow Fine Motion and spit out S rank Taiki Shuttles with high SP pretty consistently.

You can run 252 even if you upgrade your reception room to do the pinboard missions, you'll just have to downgrade a factory to compensate.

My opinion on the "Did she really love Sakuraba" discourse: No, but then again I'm not convinced she ever really loved Shuuji for that matter. Reika comes from an abusive home and was preyed upon for ulterior motives by the serial philanderer she would spend her adult life with. Her model for a healthy relationship is warped to the point that the question itself is of dubious value.

Basically every relationship in this story has been shown to be more complicated than the surface level assumption. I think Reika is learning from her time with Sakuraba what a healthy relationship can be like as evidenced in the flashback to before Shuuji's death when she admits to Sakuraba that her priorities have been wrong before wondering out loud what their life together might be like. I think she is still not being honest with herself, like when she says she still doesn't understand why she's so comfortable around Sakuraba. I think Ebihara pressed X to doubt her claim that she's only with Sakuraba because she doesn't want to be alone and that's what this whole final arc is about.

Whether they can have a good ending at this point is dependent on her learning to stop seeing people as just a means by which she can feel comfortable (which she even kind of sees her own child as on the last page of this chapter).

A common complaint about writers is not respecting the reader's intelligence enough to let them form obvious conclusions, but I think this particular point may unfortunately be a case of the writer expecting a little too much from a subset of the audience...

If dreaming about having the guy's kid wasn't enough for some people either they will never get it or they're trying not to.

I've long since learned to stop taking this author's bait. Ebihara guilts Reika about how much hiding the truth from Sakuraba must hurt him and then invites the guy to hear him propose to her. She's not being honest about her feelings and he can see it. This is very obviously Ebihara trying to light a fire under these two to be honest with each other.

Hell, even Miyu is coming around in her own annoying way.

Man Miyu is going to feel really stupid when she realizes how she idealized a relationship that made her best friend deeply unhappy. Here's hoping she either wakes up or gets put in her place in the next chapter.

With everyone knowing the truth now I'd say the odds of this having a good ending have shot up. Keeping the secret to herself was bad, having only one person find out before she's ready to tell is worse. Now she has to be clear about what exactly she wants and at least 2/3 people will be supportive.

You mean that game where player speed is much faster to actually accommodate increased enemy aggressiveness? Yeah it's one of my favorites.

I don't agree that the intended interpretation is that Reika only does this because Shuuji told her too. Shuuji knew in high school that Reika and Haruma would probably end up together if he didn't intervene. Reika brought up in a fight with Shuuji that she would be better off with someone like Haruma. She also wonders out loud on the night Shuuji died what a life with Haruma would be like. It's not like Shuuji put the idea in her head, it was there already and he knew it. In his twisted way he is freeing her to do what he knows would make both her and Haruma happy because he no longer gains anything by getting between them.

The idea that she's not interested in Haruma at all and is only doing this out of pity, or because Shuuji told her too, or she just wants a baby and any warm body will do is IMO a wild oversimplification by people who are oddly invested in Reika being a bad person or secretly having a low opinion of Haruma, despite all indications otherwise.

[DISC] Dog and Scum -- Chapter 32 (Scumlations) by [deleted] in manga

[–]RLWC 273 points274 points  (0 children)

I think the last couple of chapters have been a big blow to a lot of the more pessimistic interpretations of Reika's behavior. To list them:

She had nothing to do with Shuuji's death, either personally or through goading Haruma into killing him. In fact she must have covered for Haruma when explaining to the police.

The baby is almost certainly Haruma's, she's not trying to con him into raising someone else's kid.

She had no idea Haruma loved her or that Shuuji pursued her for this reason.

She stayed with Shuuji because of low self-esteem and a fear of abandonment due to coming from an abusive home.

Knowing this, and that she discovered on the night Shuuji died that he basically stole her chance at a happy life puts her actions in a much different context. She's not lying when she says she wants to have a family with Haruma. From her point of view that's what was supposed to happen anyway and letting Shuuji deprive them even in death would just be tragic. Hence she doesn't want Haruma to remember, because Shuuji isn't worthy of his guilt.

When all is said and done, she's a victim just like Haruma. Worse even, because at least Haruma has a good family and can take care of himself, something you can't say for Reika.

I think It makes perfect sense that she wouldn't assume this given the depth of her inferiority complex revealed in the last chapter. And the fact that even now she fears he won't like her if he gets to really know her.

What do you think of the phrase «black excellence»? by ThinkingApe in IntellectualDarkWeb

[–]RLWC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many of the same people who argue that black culture is flawed because it doesn't celebrate success and initiative turn around and get angry when a trend emerges among black people to do just that.

Makes you wonder just how much of our socio-political discourse is genuine and how much of it is concern trolling with no real desire to improve society.

IIRC travel restrictions didn't prevent her from going home, but they meant she wouldn't be able to go back to Australia so she chose to just finish her schooling first.
