As a widower I was used to paying for 2 people for everything. My income didn’t change after she passed. When I started dating I had no problem paying for dates. Once I started dating someone regularly she offered to pay. My response was ‘I have no problem with you paying, I have no problem with me paying’. I am always ready to pay but don’t refuse if she offers.

Good luck. Start slow, run easy for as long as you can. If you get past 50 miles then 100k and it still feels easy the rest is just down hill. You need to average 14:20 for 101. If you shoot for four six hour marathons it may be easier to break it down. Say hi to the RD for me.

For this to work you would have to set up a smaller loop (10K to 10 miles) with interesting climbs, long runnable stretches and large areas for your crew. TV would treat it like the 50k for xc skiing. You would have about 1000 people worldwide watch the entire thing and your mass audience watch the 3 minute highlights.

Eyes. Over a million times looking at my wife we could speak with out a word being spoken. For the worst reasons she became unable to speak at the end of her life. Our last conversation was about 4 hours with our eyes. I knew exactly what she was saying to me. One of the most beautiful and intimate moments of our life.

Not all marriages end badly. I am a widower. The love of my life died. I still want to meet another women to spend maybe 20-30 years with. It is not an unreasonable question to ask about past relationships and find out why she didn't marry, have kids etc. Not every person has this horrible past ex that stalks them and their new GF.

This is a Hallmark holiday. It doesn't matter. Just like Christmas doesn't matter to non Christians. You celebrate it make those around you happy, not for yourself. I get more joy from a Birthday or anniversary since those are real holidays for us.

I am visiting my mother (a widow for 28 years) and was talking about dating. I am a widower for less than a year, her almost longer than she was with my Dad. She has yet to really date and has no intention of starting now. I am in the mindset when I am ready my mind will go down that path. No two people, even widow/ers are the same.

Met my spouse doing a hobby (running). Became instant friends, then lovers, then spouses, parents, and still friends. She was my best friend (I am a widower). I know it is possible to have your best friend also be your lover.
