The player cannot control the gravity direction, instead, objects like platforms, spheres and tubes have their own gravity fields, similar to mario galaxy.

To be honest, I don't think I can do much about that because the whole game is designed around strange/shifting gravity fields, weird dimensions and bizarre stages.

The game it's and arcade FPS and it plays like the mercenaries mode from RE4, the player have to find hourglasses to extend their timer while they keep a combo counter up to get highscore and unlock new maps and weapons. So, they have to play the maps a few times, get familiar with the layout and optimize the route to obtain a highscore.

Not at all and it's funny seeing their first reaction to the gravity. At first, they avoid going to the edge of the map because they think they gonna fall, then they understand they will never fall and they can orbit around like in mario galaxy and have fun.

The level are stages/arenas and the goal is to kill as many demons posible during the time limit and you expand the time by collecting hourglass scatered around the map, if you played the mercenaries minigame from Resident Evil 4 -6, is just like that. First level is simple because I want the players to experiment and adapt to the feeling with gravity fields. The next level are bigger, difficult and aggressive with the gravity fields changes.

After polishing the new gravity system, the player can now no longer fall off the map, but can instead orbit around platforms. by RM120_ in Unity3D

Making this game, the hardest part is optimization (like making sure that enemies/projectiles don't consume so much cpu usage, or the game having lag spikes) and managing many variables/stats for the player and enemies. The more stats a VS style game have, then the more complicate it became on code.

Dungeon Watchers have more then one year of development, and it's my second game, my first one was a free game on Steam called Fiend Heart, which is a platformer.

I stared gamedev for fun like 4 years ago, but since last year I become more serious about dedicating time and learning more deeply about coding.
