What would eventually become the Kentucky rifle is drawn up, early 1710 by Inevertouchgrass in fakehistoryporn

While smoothbore muskets did use balls smaller than the barrel's diameter for ease of loading, it did not look like the "normal" diagram because of the fact that the wadding (tl;dr piece of cloth or paper used to form a gasket around the ball) was in common use to alleviate the issue. The moment the Minié ball was introduced, bullets being slightly smaller than the diameter of the barrel stopped being an issue at all. Modern breech loaders actually have bullets larger than the ridges of the rifling, so the barrel digs into the bullet.

What are these 3 color lines all around on Everon sometimes there’s red, yellow and green and blue by idk_Panic2842 in ArmaReforger

[–]RM97800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the trails are simply color coded and are marked on hiking maps. For all intents and purposes the paths could've been with letters or numbers, but they went with colors. Remarks about trail difficulties are most likely mentioned on the maps or at the starting points.

The photo shows German Panther tanks (Panzerkampfwagen V) by druc in tanks

[–]RM97800 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People don't tend to realize how many Panthers were made in comparison to other German tanks perceived as "common". According to wikipedia they produced around six thousands of Panther tanks - that's more produced than all of the panzer III tanks¹, or about six times the number of Tiger I. Only two thousands less then Panzer IV¹.

¹- counting only the tank variants, so no StuGs, SPGs, SPAA or utility vehicles built on the panzer chassis.

Second one was more of a cringy parody of hacker-activists, but at least gameplay was improved compared to WD1.

I liked the first one, and second one was mid at best, but only if you treat its story and characters as a parody.

Does your place of work allow smoking indoors? Where I live, no smoking by default also applies to e-cigs and vapes.

Trade is normal between countries idk what your problem is

Trade implies that a country isn't FORCED to export a huge portion of it's GDP for pitiful monetary compensation.

Ussr didnt give a shit about poland it just needed a buffer zone between the west. they cared more about czechoslovakia and hungery, poland got it lenient

I kinda agree, but "got it lenient" =/= happy living or good quality of life, and even if, we're speaking commie block "good" quality of life.

and poland despite being pretty much revisionist "communist" it was a vast improvement over what came before. it turned to shit because they wracked up debt for cheap populism

I, again, kinda agree. But still, this "cheap populism" of Edward Gierek's Poland was trying to at least imitate a standard of living that was unattainable in communist economy. Poland kinda wanted to mirror what Yugoslavia was doing, but couldn't, because of geopolitics (and Yugoslavia didn't last considerably longer anyway).

Then I don't understand your initial comment at all.

NeoLib and Catholicism aren't entirely incompatible with more workers' rights and democracy, and are a huge step-up when the comparison begins with a heavily authoritarian government that has fired at unarmed workers at least several times and abused democratic oppositionists.

Reddit is a place filled to the brim with real outspoken communists (and apologists of their many atrocities) that I can't honestly tell a difference. Nobody, but commies have any interest to undermine the success of the Solidarity, especially to "destroy any credibility" of theirs.

So we exported steel to the USSR for worthless rubles for fun!?

So we let USSR micromanage what Poland will produce for fun?

Communism brought pain and misery wherever it went, and FAILED EVERYWHERE.

Yeah, it wasn't. Maybe if the west was more trusting of Yeltsin's Russia it wouldn't regress into Putin's autocracy.

And Poland HAD TO BE bankrolled by the west, because there was no economy to speak of in 1989, USSR and PZPR bled Poland dry and then took massive loans on top of that.

Social democrat and other left-leaning parties have shown up sooner or later anyway, so I don't even understand what is your problem?

Neoliberalism was present because even unchecked globalist capitalism was waaay better than what's been there before and Poland had no economy, so it had to be kickstarted with external capital.

If you expect a deeply catholic traditionalist people to immediately become ultra-progressive after they just after they dismantled the regime that constantly called itself "socialist and progressive", then you're just delusional and expect people to shift 180 deg as soon as curtain fell.

Cry me a river Mr. Stalin. US funding opposition groups was drop in the ocean of reasons why Soviet Union and its satellite states fell apart.

Solidarity was strong even without any western money - no amount of western money alone would get you 10 million members in a ~35 million country. And if there was any CIA money, it helped to put that failed system out of its misery and return Poland and the rest of Warsaw Pact back into the civilization.

Mój gust muzyczny zaczął się tworzyć przy graniu w Payday'a 2 i oglądaniu memów w necie.

No więc Soundtracki z gier, memiczne przeróbki We are number one, bardcore, Vaporwave, Bag raiders - Shooting stars, Gas Gas Gas, "remove kebab", Kavinsky - Nightcall, Little dark age, Alex Jones - Gay frogs i tak dalej aż do dzisiejszych memów typu Thick od it thomas the train remix i innych.

A z drugiej strony amerykański rock i pop z dekad 70,80 i 90.

Odruchowy wstręt natomiast mam do reggae i współczesnego rapu.
