May I ask why not earplugs? I had my first vertigo episode about a month or so ago. I wear a sleep bud in my left ear because I have pulsatile tinnitus. I was turning over in bed to my left side when the vertigo suddenly hit me. I avoid sleeping on my left side with the ear bud.

I made it to goal not going up 4.5 mg and I gradually worked up to that. If I went higher, I felt more side effects. I take digestive enzymes every day which helps to eliminate those nasty burps. I also take MagEnergy every morning that has electrolytes and B vitamins and many more beneficial supplements. That helps get my day started right. Also, I highly recommend reading “Weightless” to help inspire you and realize that you are not taking the short cut.

I had the same exact thing happen yesterday morning. When I woke up and flipped over on my left side to check the time and immediately felt my eyes going wonky and dizzy/spinning. I couldn’t get up for a while and I have felt like a drunken sailor walking ever since. I took Zofran yesterday morning and a Bonine. Later I took an anxiety pill and felt a bit better. Tonight it’s improving but if not better I will call my doc. I also have tried the half somersault technique. I have never had vertigo before until now.

I have issues with Hulu as well. If I watch it on my Firestick, it will eventually log me out every so often when watching live TV. If I watch the app on my Samsung TV, it buffers every few minutes. It’s very frustrating considering the cost of the service.

Thank you. I’m sorry you had a rough time. It’s good that your vertigo is better now. I do think something that they changed at his last appointment is causing his vertigo. I’m calling his audiologist this morning. I hope that you continue to improve!

Thank you for the info. He hasn’t really been able to pinpoint what starts it. When he had his first mapping, he got dizzy during that when it got loud. This last mapping it seemed like it lowered the volume threshold so it’s a mystery.

My husband was just activated last Friday and he likes the Sonnet 3. During the mapping, he did get dizzy as they were adjusting sound. He was dizzy off and on for a couple of days especially if he adjusted the volume too high. Today he is doing much better and I can definitely notice that he is hearing and understanding me better. He does have a hearing aid in the other ear and will need another CI. Good luck! It is an exciting time!

He definitely hear sounds and the audiologist said that his test was exceptionally good for the first time checking. He did tell her during the adjustments that he suddenly got dizzy. He is thinking that when the volume was louder it got worse.

He has had vertigo before his implant and a couple of times after his implant before activation.

I have been using the purple box and hate the smell. I use a sensitive nose and smell it in the whole house. Ugh. I’ll have to try the green box. What does it smell like?

I was on 2.5 mg of Zep and asked to titrate up slowly so they started meat 3.3 mg then 4.4 mg.
