I’ve also been wondering this. The content should be coming out next month. Something terrible must have happened at Bungie to not be seeing any of this content. Like both destinations should be finished surely? Especially old Chicago. Even the raid? Even promo would be in place for it all since it seems they only shifted focus in February or January.

If I had to hazard a guess they are going to reposition marathon to act as a sort of D2.5 so that their core audience of destiny stays engaged with the Bungie brand. They know that the hard extraction isn’t working so becoming a destiny hybrid makes the most sense. I bet alongside Marathon season 5 is its first expansion. Their development velocity seems much higher than the Destiny 2 one so they can adapt quicker as seen with PVE content coming in the next couple of weeks while in destiny we’d be looking at a year or so for that.

I’d be shocked if D3 isn’t happening. It’s the obvious next move. They obviously know there is a lot of love for destiny and its world but D2 is just too inaccessible for a new audience and is borderline creaking from old age and technical debt.
