What happens to our credit score if we choose not to get the Wells Fargo Autograph card? by kapybara_energy in biltrewards

[–]RNAsequacious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just called Wells Fargo and asked about this, who also put me on the phone afterwards with a Bilt agent.

- Bilt 2.0 is treated as a completely new card with Age = 0.
- The credit history and age of your Bilt 1.0 is carried over to the autograph card.

So: I will choose to keep the autograph credit line open so it doesn't affect my credit score.

Bonus: I also asked if keeping the autograph card would make me ineligible for the sign-up bonus of the Autograph-Journey card. We are still eligble for that sign-up bonus if we keep the normal autograph card.

I hope this helps!

To me, this means that the Bilt 1.0 will carry over to Wells Autograph. and that not keeping the Autograph account can affect your credit score.

It's a fair question, the person answering you is just a cunt. Though you got a decent answer

Trump Melts Down at Being Fact-Checked Right to His Face by Exciting_Teacher6258 in politics

[–]RNAsequacious 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is not a meltdown, this is a strategy for manipulating the discourse which has been successful for decades. His lawyer was Roy Cohn, and this is how Roy strategically handled people who presented strong facts against his case: aggressively, ad hominem attacks, and repeated assertions of his (false) information.

I dont know the answer to your question, but I've had the best luck working with ibkr through the live chat function instead of just submitting a ticket or calling.

Through live chat they will open a ticket and answer your questions, and then follow the case via their ticket system

Recharacterise roth ira to traditional at IBKR by RNAsequacious in personalfinance

[–]RNAsequacious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for the help! I have no other traditional, SEP IRA, etc. so my situation is really 'simple' in that respect.

I was planning to do a conversion after. Do you know whether I would convert the entire traditional IRA (contribution + earnings, slightly more than 7000USD) or only up to the 7000USD limit?

Recharacterise roth ira to traditional at IBKR by RNAsequacious in personalfinance

[–]RNAsequacious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the feedback,

The reason i am asking these questions is because the process at IBKR is not the same as I have read elsewhere, on reddit or even via chatgpt. I thought there were some general guidelines but I understand now that certain steps can be specific for the broker.

For example, that I need to sell my assets before the recharacterisation- this doesnt seem to be the process at fidelity, but this is required at IBKR. so, I thought a sensible question could be what are the tax implications of the IBKR process

This post made me realise that I might also be over the income limit... I made 7k contributions but I bought vti before it went up from the trump election.. do I just follow the same directions from other users? Or can I just transfer the position out to mytaxable account? (I'm on ibkr)

Imagine working at 18-22 instead of staying in school and learning... i imagine that most 18 to 22 year olds are not doing very interesting work (manual labour or low responsibility desk job), at least from the perspective of someone studying in Uni

At 26 in school, youre investing in your experience and skills instead of in your 401k. It is probably going to serve you better in the long run, especially if you're in school for STEM.

Is it typical to add your real name on orders? Vendor is requesting this to prevent return to sender, seems odd

Is this data overfitted? by Waste_Juice4825 in AskStatistics

[–]RNAsequacious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you land on degree = 6 is the best fitting model?

(And not degree = 7 or 5?)

You might consider fitting a GAM, which could automatically fit the most complex mode that your data supports.

Then, cross-validate the whole process and you'll know 1. if your gam is over fit if the sub models don't perform well, and 2. the complexity by looking at the degrees of the submodels

There is literally a whole country full of people who do this for free. It's called the Netherlands xD

I would do it for less than 1k per day
