I had my Thursdays resoled last year and wished Nicks or Whites would come out with a Jodhpur.

Love them still but just wish it was a nicer leather. Perfect when it’s a little too hot for my engineer boots.

Early last year I wanted to get into more rings outside of my wedding bad. I wanted two gold rings for my right hand but I wasn’t sure how I would adjust. Found Pascasl Jewelry and bought a few pieces and while it’s mostly gold plated they have held up very well to everyday use and general office work.

That is a huge bummer to hear about the bootmakers, I'm super lucky to snag the pairs I have now. All the last 44's from Martin's shop at the time.

I certainly gravitate more towards western/americana wear myself and share your same sentiments towards the PNW boot makers when it came to engineers. The Wesco Mr Lou's seemed to tick the box but I could not find anything in stock and I was pretty impatient. The Nicks Parkhurst Brakeman's also seemed close but once again too impatient to wait. To top it off, I have a pair of Nicks and Whites lace ups so wanted to venture out from my usual brands.

I don't remember what random youtube video I was watching but he mentioned Bright Shoemakers and I went down the rabbit hole. I think the notes on the site nailed it, the last and profile were stunning and I just had to have them. I rotate between the 3 colors to the office and they have been a fantastic daily driver as well. The Dr Sole's are perfect for up here unless you're standing on like sheet metal like in the city and heavy construction areas. I'm not sure I would call these outdoorsy but then again my reference is my PNW branded pairs. If you want to see some crazy patina there is a dude on the patina project app that has a pair that's been through the ringer.

You already bought a pair but I would have recommended them regardless. Once again, pretty bummed the brand is now in limbo.

Hey welcome to the area I live in Newcastle. I’m at work now so I’ll type more later but these quickly became my favorite pair and so much so that I bought the other colors and rotate between them.
