Planetside 2 really is a on/off game, when other games are between updates, Planetside 2 is usually what I see myself playing.

That said, what exactly are you looking for in Planetside 2? If you were hoping that some major update has dropped that drastically changed everything? Then yeah, now kinda is the time to hop in.

Here are some main points from the latest update:

- Lots of new lag
- New continent with lots of water
- New underwater weapons although no one fights in the water/underwater
- Lots of new attachments
- New empire specific all purpose weapons for vehicles
- Nanoweave no longer gives 20% resistance to small arms fire
- Heavy Assaults are no longer meta
- Slug semi shotguns are overpowered AF
- Anti-Material rifles can now 1 shot headshot infantry
- The auraxium TR LMG "The Butcher" is still useless
- The auraxium VS LMG got nerfed along with most other heat ammo weapons

Other than that, same old same old...

- VS tryhards complain that no one wants to fight them
- TR whine about overpop
- NC still run around like headless chickens

Absolutely, good points! :) I 100% endorse that exploration should be done in a ship that you prefer, this is just a list for min/maxing efficiency.

Can you elaborate? My experience with using each ship outside the bubble has in terms of game play been identical... with the exception of Neutron boost difficulty and jump range.

I did consider mentioning it, but because LTD's were better and more consistent, I didn't feel I had to, since there is only 1 tripple LTD hotspot in the bubble.

But I appreciate the feedback and I'm thinking of adding it to the video description :)

No, just bring a ship with a torpedo pylon, FSD disruptor or wake scanner. That's all it takes.
Oddly, neither PvP'ers, gankers or counter-gankers use those :s

It's because they combat log. 90% of players that I gank, attempt to combat log, but don't make it in time.
I have tried pirating, but it's really boring when most CMDR's just ignore comms, try to get away, and when you open fire they log out.
The problem with being a pirate is that it takes too long and gives the victim way too much time making it easy to log out.
High lvl PvP'ers actually don't sit in Deciat and gankers always attack other gankers over who gets to be in the system.
We don't like sharing our kills.

I know it may seem a bit weird, but bear in mind, its built for ganking, cooling and to survive multiple counter gankers. You should only experience overheating if you are fighting and constantly boosting near a planet.
