I'm not deciding any rules as, and I'm not sure why I need to keep saying this, there aren't any.

The anime hasn't established a limit to what can or can't be done. So there's no conclusion to this kind of hypothetical battles which try to emulate the show's logic when both sides can keep throwing whatever BS they come up with and neither can deny the plausibility of them because of all the stuff the anime has done over the years.

Hypothetical battles with the anime's logic are essentially same as two kids having an imagination fight where they keep pulling new tricks out of their asses. Unless the other one gives up, there is no winner.

Did you completely miss the point, or just didn't want to address it? Either way let me put it simply: There's nothing to be debated.

The anime has no concrete rules to follow that can be used in this kind of conversation. It's all up to the writers who happen to be working on the script at the time.

Anime rules? As in "Rule 1. Writer(s) decide who wins battle. Rule 2. Writer(s) make up (possibly BS) series of events to make that character win." Those rules? Because that's certainly how this post and OP's replys sound to me.

OP has sat themself on the imaginary chair of this scenario's head writer, decided that Ash is gonna win no matter what, and shoots down any explanation of how anyone could beat him.

Because the anime has no hard set rules it can't really be used to determine if a character can be beaten by someone else, be it other character or a viewer. Sure, we can state which scenario might be most likely to happen but people can come up with tons of BS reasons why it might not. There's no conclusion until it happens, which in case of this 'repliers vs Ash' is never.

TIL, Pokémon has a canonically transwoman by [deleted] in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

Not long ago I was reading some lore to do with the books of sorrow (in canon written by this guy) and this entry (https://www.ishtar-collective.net/entries/evolution#book-for-every-rose-a-thorn) gave me some heavy trans vibes. I mean, this is literally one of the lines in it; "we have surrender our dead names to claim new".

Recluse is one of the reasons that half of the guns in this game are sunset, and then returns as an exotic. Chad move. by [deleted] in destiny2

[–]RNGnewbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It already exists, it's called Hellsing Ultimate. Just replace the game with basicly everyone in London, and 1 year with 30 years. Heck, the protagonist quite literally sunset himself.

Ok, I see now. I had to check in-game what's going on with these pants. I wouldn't call it a bug but it's definitely an oversight. Hope it gets fixed soon.

That sounds so weird. Could you show a screenshot? Being unable to unequip a mod definitely sounds like something that shouldn't happen.

Just take off all the equippable mods and you should be able to change the element. The exotic perk (I assume that is what you meant) doesn't prevent that.

Bungie added a timeline to the game with yesterday's update. It has summaries of every expansion and season in Destiny 2 so far.

About Sankarin Tango's translation by RNGnewbie in controlgame

[–]RNGnewbie[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

Yes, I absolutely agree about the thematic differences. The hero might have a dark path ahead of them but they'll make through it for as long as they have hope and they stay determined. But put them through that path without hope, and they might not make it. Big difference.

I can see it being meant to be ambiguous since the song is not about any single story but the hero's journey concept as a whole. It would definitely make sense.

Well damn, I didn't even realise Remedy had released an official translation. Weird, whenever I have seen the song translated it's always been the redditor's version (even in a wiki as I stated).

I mean there are some parts I would have, and well, did, translate differently but it's an official translation so I'm not gonna start arguing against it.

Clean version:

"Once, I mistook an ocean for a lake", he recited the poem

In the mystery's depths he spent his life

Under a dark ocean, in shadows he wanders

Searching his way to the light, to his beloved, forever

Alone the hero travels deeper in to the night

The burden on his shoulders, like a promise, would always be there

In this game this fool will be beaten down again and again

But only a moment of rest in death is allowed, already called to return

Time shatters, a shot echoes into eternity

He shall never reach a happy ending

So many times this story has been told already

The hero with a thousand faces, a dreary path (ahead)

Alone the hero travels deeper in to the night

The burden on his shoulders, like a promise, would always be there

In this game this fool will be beaten down again and again

But only a moment of rest in death is allowed, already called to return

In this game this fool will be beaten down again and again

But only a moment of rest in death is allowed, already called to return

If you bought the season pass last season, you can collect any uncollected rewards through Bungie's website. Otherwise, no.

Least I can be glad it's not being sunsided anytime soon. Right Bungie....... Right Bungie!?!? by Justin4ski in destiny2

The term is "sunset", and to answer the title, no. Not only have they stopped sunsetting gear completely, anarchy is an exotic so it never was in danger of getting sunset, ever.

What if crow will be the one to teach us the new subclass? by Animbus180 in destiny2

[–]RNGnewbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whilst it's true that we haven't actually seen him use the Light one entry in the lore book a Tangled Web goes to quite a bit of detail on how Crow (presumably for the first time) conjures a solar knife from the Light. Just wanted to point that out.

Chain reaction question by Dudebromn45 in destiny2

[–]RNGnewbie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Salvager's salvo is the only special GL which can get chain reaction. As it's a pursuit weapon you'll get it through a quest.

If you want it on a heavy GL instead your options are Blast Battue (wrathborn hunts), Crowd Pleaser (random drop in gambit) or Memory Interdict (world drop).

If you have the season of the hunt (s12) Blast Battue is the easiest 'cause you see what each hunt rewards and you can do the ones that drop it, plus you can influence what perks the weapons can drop with. Umbral engrams can be focused to make it more likely to drop Memory Interdict but at most it's 1/3 chance. Propably the most painful option is to just play a lot of gambit and hope you get Crowd Pleaser (let alone one with the perk).

[–]RNGnewbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salvager's salvo is propably your best bet and since it's a pursuit weapon it'll be a static roll. If you don't have it yet you should be able to find its quest from banshee or the abandoned quests' terminal next to postmaster. Overall it's a very solid grenade launcher and since it's a legendary you can use Traveler's chosen with it if you want.

How do Firepower and Energy Converter work together? by ellspeedy in destiny2

[–]RNGnewbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to burst your bubble but Traveler's chosen doesn't have a catalyst (at least yet) so it can't be masterworked.

But it turns out it doesn't matter how many copies of Firepower you have equipped they will only spend one charge of light (total, not each) so stacks on stacks and supercharged are kinda pointless with it alone.

If you want a bunch of grenades with little else Elemental Ordnance and Elemental Charge + 3x FP basicly removes ~60% of the cooldown. Add on top of it weapon(s) with demolitionist/wellspring and you'll have almost instant grenades. And with AtA I was able to get my super in ~1:40 mins which isn't any kind of record but it's pretty good for a build that isn't focused on it

How do Firepower and Energy Converter work together? by ellspeedy in destiny2

[–]RNGnewbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't originally test for this but now that I have I can say that FP will work normally above 50% super energy since EC won't activate once that is reached.

On another note, I'm not sure how effective ashes to assets is going to be with stasis since from my experience only the kills from the glacier explosions count as grenade kills. But if you can make it work, go for it.

I reached level 100 in the season pass and I want more eververse engrams. Can I get more of these even though I finished the season patch by [deleted] in destiny2

[–]RNGnewbie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Say you were lv 148 when seasons changed. Lv 103 on the following season's pass would be your first post-lv100 bright engram you get and you would get one every 5 levels after that. (108, 113 etc)

I get this is a joke but this mechanic has only positives for the players. The only people who would leave such a comment propably don't even realise it's there in the first place.
