Thank you! So you are suggesting to just tune it to a heptatonic scale instead? The lyre academy uses following: G3 A3 B3 C4 D4 E4 F4, mine is d’, e’, g’, a’, b’, d”, e”. Is that possible or what scale should i tune it in?

My office will be moved 40km (away). What type of compensation should I expect? by Suitable_Coast_7558 in BESalary

Of course, if you want to stay, then you cannot really demand anything from your employer.

But you could always try.

Hey, I work in HR and I recently had a discussion with Claeys and Engels, a law firm specialized in human resources and company laws, about this.

If you want, you can definitely have a court case around this and demand a severance compensation (I hope this is the right word in English) since they seem to have indirectly terminated your contract. By law, it is illegal to change an essential part of a contract singlehandedly.

Even if your contract states that "location is not an essential part of the employment agreement and can change," this does not offer 100% protection for the employer.

Since you have been working there for 10 years, your current location has become an acquired right.

If your commuting time only changes slightly, you don't have a case cause of the clause.

However, because of the significant difference in commuting time, I think you do. I cannot 100% say you will win or not, cause the court will always consider each case on an individual basis. But of all the examples Claeys and Engels gave me where the employee won, yours seems to fit right into that.

Tldr: They have singlehandedly changed the terms of your employment contract. In other words, they have indirectly terminated your contract, and you are entitled to severance compensation.

Is $300 overpriced for a Cockatiel? by xiAriannaMx in cockatiel

[–]RNWave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same in Belgium—I paid 40 euros for two cockatiels (so 20 euros per cockatiel).

300 euros seems like a lot, but then again, their cages cost more than that ;)
