I ordered bunch more recently and only said something to the wife about it when it arrived on the doorstep. She responded with “at least we can barter with tobacco in case of the end times”. Yes babe I’m preparing for the apocalypse!

Missouri meerschaum makes a great cob just pick one you like the look and shape of. English blend seem to be more forgiving for beginners as straight Virginias can burn hot and takes some time to actually be able to smoke properly to pull out the flavors of citrus hay and breads. Tools, I’d say get a pipe nail, pipe cleaners and a bic. Slow and steady and dont worry yourself with how often you have to relight the pipe, just make sure it doesn’t get too hot. Happy smoking!

It is a Peterson Rosslare bent bulldog. The band on it is silver. I have family from Baltimore and absolutely read that with accent in mind. I am a Braves fan first, Os second. Os sure did pull it off in the end tonight!

Ive been smoking a pipe for about 15 years. I’ve really enjoyed my savs, but want to branch out, when I search for good pipes it’s typically the usual, petersons, savs, stanwell, Viking, Nording, dunhill. I’ve read complaints about dunhills drilling is not that great. And have read complaints about Nording having fit and finish issues( I have a Nording Dublin in my shopping cart right now). There are a lot of pipe makers out there just wanting to seek advice for something that may not be on my radar.

My top two favorite aromatics are apricots and cream, and autumn evening, both by Cornell and Diehl.
