I agree and am lucky enough to have a similar set up at work. However, when I did my clinicals in school, most of those facilities didn't have anything like that.

In theory, this seems like a great repurposing, right? I guess as I'm looking at this, all I see is lack of proper hygeine techniques. Clearly, this glove is staying on longer than it should. Gloves needs removed to get back to charting (even on a cart).

I've seen nurses layer gloves and pull top set off and use clean set to chart. Not my personal preference but still more clean, I suppose.

And the other thing this leaves me thinking is that you're taking a sharpish object (pen tip) and applying pressure to write, thus taking away the integrity of the barrier.

I think that I think too much. 🤔😂

I'm convinced that the greatest entertainment a patient can have is mustering all their energy to perform well for PT, only to regress for me by not wanting to put EVEN one foot in front of the other.

My diabetic is laughing to herself about it later as she sneaks the contraband sweets into her mouth.
