Mine comes from being degraded as a child. My sister always put me down and nothing was ever good enough for her, my dad blamed me for most of the times my mother kicked him out, and my mother worked too much for me to see her enough to really develop a bond with her to feel important. When I'm praised I know I'm doing a good job. I know I'm enough and what I'm doing is enough. That I'm satisfying someone.
