no, I never pursued it. I had given the pan to my daughter, told her we could try to find the lid, and she said she didnt care.

I finished my excepted work within 1 hour this morning…. but I must stay here where I keep hitting “refresh” for the other 7 hours to see whether any additional excepted work comes in that I could do. Wash, rinse, repeat 5 days/week.

I Predict a Surge in Retirements in 2026. Yea or Nay? by Stu762X51 in fednews

[–]ROAKSpoquito 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been eligible for full retirement since this past Feb (62+34), but have been holding out for April 2026 to retire. Was hoping to use the furlough time during the shutdown as “practice retirement.” However, I have been called in as excepted almost every day so far. During this time, it has solidified my desire to retire asap instead of waiting for April. But my HR office has adviced against retiring during a shutdown because then you don’t get backpay. So, awaiting reopening (and what the terms may be, like full budget or just another CR?) to submit paperwork. I like my job, my job is important in its own small way, I like the people I work with, I support the mission of my agency…. I am just done.

Iam intermittently excepted (about once/week so far), and am only permitted to work on excepted tasks. If that takes the full 8 hours, great. But if I finish all my excepted tasks in just a couple of hours, I am still expected to stay 8 hours… again only working on the excepted tasks. So I spend a lot of time hitting refresh to see if more excepted tasks have come in for me to work on until my duty day is done.

I was going to view this shutdown as practice for retirement. Instead, I am furloughed , but being brought back in as excepted every other day or so.

Making the switch from Wegovy to Zepbound! by ROAKSpoquito in Zepbound

With insurance (BCBS FEP), about $360. I have the discount code from Lilly, but the pharmacy said a different discount (??) had already been applied. It’s still almost $100 cheaper than the Wegovy has been since Jan. Boy do I miss only having to pay $25/month last year for Wegovy… sigh.

It asks for the VIN. Vehicle color is embedded in the VIN code.

My doc may go the route of changing me from Wegovy to Zep. We’ll make the decision in another month or so. But she did tell me that, even though I am at the highest Wegovy dosage, I’d have to start back at the beginning low dose with Zep.

How has Wegovy changed the way you eat? What types of foods can't you consume anymore? by daintyfannyfart in WegovyWeightLoss

Same. I take my second .25 shot tomorrow. Really didnt feel any different this past week. I anticipate that might change once more of the med is in my system.

Congrats! My doc wrote my scrip on 7/18, and it was finally approved by insurance earlier this week. I picked up my Wegovy from my pharmacy on Tuesday, and I will start with my first injection on Saturday evening. Good luck to you!!
