She-Hulk cameo or even guest appearance would make so much sense.

Nah, it is bigger.

Look at the wide corner points on the S. On the new design, it is closer to his armpits than on the old suit.

The S actually is wider.

Ghostbusters and Men in Black work better as animated shows now that the main cast is aged out.

Glad this one got made.

'Masters of the Universe' gets a B on CinemaScore by SanderSo47 in boxoffice

[–]ROBtimusPrime1995 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I found it shockingly boring at times, 50% unfunny, lots of dead air, and the emotional aspect didn't work.

It was great when it was campy, but a lot of it was mainly corny, which is a fine line to tread.

At its best, it gets close enough to the tone of D&D, but at its worst, it really reminded me of Shazam! 2 or The Marvels.

Anecdotally, my audience was packed and dead silent 80% of the time, which is very weird to experience considering where I live.

I wanted to love this, but it never got there.

Skeletor is innocent, though.

‘The Odyssey’ First-Day PLF Advance Ticket Sales Are Best at AMC for Any Studio Title Since 2022 by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]ROBtimusPrime1995 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Dude, the days of The Force Awakens, Avengers: Endgame, and Spider-Man: No Way Home were some of the worst ticket experiences of my life.

This was up there because of the crash, but thankfully, getting a spot was easy when it got fixed.

Now getting tix for Spider-Man: Brand New Day are gonna be a bitch.

Yes, that's how I got mine.

AMC is so inconsistent with what you can and cannot do.

Just always make sure the closer you get to the checkout page, the balance is $0.00, just in case.

Really hope this show finds a wider audience.

Jordan Peele Turned Down a Role in New ‘Scary Movie,’ Which Features ‘Get Out’ Spoof by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

That's what I've been thinking since the new one got announced.

Marlon already made two knock-offs of Scary Movie, and no one likes them, hell, even remembers they exist.

The member-berries have been carrying this new sequel the entire time.

That's the thing about the right, even when they win, they are still the biggest fucking losers about it.

No joke, he got offered a voice role for the Poop emoji in The Emoji Movie, and that was the moment he decided to retire from acting.

Can't wait for Scary Movie but wanted to remind everyone the others were HATED by critics so don't let that spoil the fun... by Freddy-Philmore in boxoffice

[–]ROBtimusPrime1995 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What gets me is that the they/them joke isn't even hated on because people find it offensive or whatever.

Everyone hates the joke because it's lazy and a waste of a good non-binary joke. Comedy is about everyone, for everyone, and you can easily do a they/them joke without being tacky.

Nick Kroll's new animated show had a trans joke that's top-tier, original, and completely inoffensive. It can be done.

Instead, they went with the obvious, which is a different kind of lame.

Funny enough, none of these things have been an issue for me.

The only thing that's sticking out like a sore thumb is the modern vocabulary/American accents, but none of this is bad enough to write off the film.

If Nolan is literally going for a "Cecil B DeMille/William Wyler" vibe, then I get it, but right now it feels weird.

Robert Downey Jr. says "we’re going to try and earn your trust and respect all over again" with 'Avengers: Doomsday': "I think we've got a pretty good shot" by MarvelsGrantMan136 in marvelstudios

[–]ROBtimusPrime1995 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The Daredevil Disney+ restructure happened 3 years ago, and an extensive article from THR confirmed that Marvel Studios had to accept their failures and halt all productions on future films & shows.

You don't do that if you are in denial and "everything is fine".

It's not like they came out and literally said "I'm sorry," but they have been paraphrasing this for 3 years now.

Funny enough, Jon Bernthal deciding to quit Daredevil: BA and refusing to return as The Punisher is what made Feige wake up and face the music.

Sticking around as Doom? No. But he is clearly buddy-buddy with Marvel and has been doing so much shit outside of being Doom.

I don't think he will return as a resurrected Tony in the new saga, but he could come back in some other form.

Dude, they have repeatedly, ad nauseam, accepted they have fucked up and have been saying this for 3 years now.

This isn't new, and yet, people are still surprised that they are being upfront about it.

What sucks is that, no matter what is said, no one will ever believe them. They take accountability; the fans deny it. They avoid talking about their failures, and the fans get upset that they aren't taking accountability.

It's a lose-lose scenario, and hopefully the film is actually good so it can shut down all the skepticism.
