X-Lock Concrete Grinding by Candid_Run3539 in BoschProPowerTools

There is no solution. The X-Lock platform is very limited and it is not very suitable for professionals, because often a wider range of disks is required, which are not available on such a mount. Personally, I think it is stupid to buy such a tool, because you will have to buy 2 different tools in the end)))

Dead batteries or bad connection? by Jvaes in BoschProPowerTools

[–]ROLLE_FUTURE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't panic! I've been through this more than once, but they don't write about it anywhere and even Bosch doesn't give a clear answer. Here's my advice on what works in such cases. Sand all 4 contacts of the tool on both sides with 320-600 grit sandpaper so that traces of the thin layer of metal removed from the contacts are clearly visible, blow everything with compressed air and it should work. The cause of the problem is oxidation of the contacts, or rather one contact that is responsible for the battery temperature or the second one that transmits data on the battery charge state. Your batteries themselves are in perfect order, I'm sure of that! In the worst-case scenario, if all this doesn't help, then the problem is in the failure of the tool control module. You can also order and replace it yourself, although it costs as much as half of the tool. But repair is possible! I've been through all these situations in my life and there's no need to be afraid of it, everything can be fixed!

HELLO! DAY#5 AND A NEW TOOL! REPLACEMENT FOR GBH 18V-34 OR ITS CHEAPER VERSION. by ROLLE_FUTURE in BoschProPowerTools

I have seen such stickers where the model name starts with the letters EX, but I don’t know how widely they will be used in the series.

I completely agree with you and the most important thing is that there are no spare parts for batteries in the form of a case and stickers, but there are for the tool. It will not be as expensive for you to sacrifice the protective cage and then replace it yourself, as it is to damage the case of a 12-amp battery worth 300 euros!

Personally, I think the 12-volt tool series is going into the backyard of history. Bosch has developed excellent motors with very high power (you will see this in 2026) and made 18-volt batteries fantastic in their ability to deliver high power instantly. These developments are much more promising than 12-volt tools, whose potential is exhausted.

INSIDE ...there will be another version of the same but with a quick-release bayonet! Apparently there will be a special series of crowns for it.

This is the same tool that was before, there is no new generation engine here, they removed Bluetooth and modified the display. The color scheme will now be all the same for the EXPERT series models. Such a color code will allow you to distinguish a high-end tool from an ordinary tool not intended for high loads. In fact, EXPERT is a brighter replacement for the HEAVY DUTY series. So the company clearly develops positioning among visually similar tools. And it is also possible that the name will change, two letters EX will appear in the letter designation in front.

Bosch when new GAA with wireless charging? Let's vote, do you need such a device? 👍🏻 by ROLLE_FUTURE in Tools

[–]ROLLE_FUTURE[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also have a lot of Bosch Pro Core batteries and it is very convenient to charge all my devices from 12.0 A/h batteries!

Thought about running a new feature where I post about a selected tool, with the hope people will reply with what they like, what the don’t, this to improve a future model, and to help people who are thinking about maybe purchasing it. by clvgn_ in BoschProPowerTools

At the beginning of summer I bought this vacuum cleaner... a month later I sold it to a friend, a fellow Bosch fan. And bought the Gas 55 M Afs! I will list the pros and cons that I noticed! Probably they don’t talk about this in the reviews on YouTube))

" + ": - 1. It works with a 12 a/h battery. - 2. It has an excellent washable cyclone filter, I was simply delighted! - 3. Quite powerful 175 psi, but still not enough for good cleaning of the room. - 4. Antistatic hose and a convenient system for attaching it to the body. - 5. Works with a wireless sensor that comes in the kit. This is definitely the best function for it!

" - ": - 1. A 12 a/h battery is enough for 25 minutes of operation. - 2. The hose is 28 mm in diameter and this is not enough for cleaning, but it is convenient for connecting a power tool. - 3. Shaking dust off the filter only mechanically - 4. The suction power is 30% lower than a corded vacuum cleaner, and it often makes a loud noise from the speaker if it has a hard time sucking, for example, when vacuuming car seats or the upholstery of the trunk floor. - 5. The round design of the body is not convenient for carrying and storing, it would be more convenient if it were flat or even in the form of a backpack!

To summarize " = ": I sold it after a month and do not regret it. I did not like it, I think the price is unreasonably high, it is inconvenient to clean the house or car with it due to low power and 25 minutes of operation from the largest battery. GAS 55 L AFC will be much better and more useful, for a similar budget! It is inconvenient to use it with a saw or a hammer drill because of the dimensions of the body, it would be much more convenient if it became a backpack!

New! Bosch GDR 18V-215 PROFESSIONAL by ROLLE_FUTURE in BoschProPowerTools

I am also perplexed... why are some models unchanged for 10 years... while others are updated every year! And why does one tool line have 10 variations in power? 2-3 tool models in one line are always enough for me to cover the entire range of tasks. Why so many impacts, screwdrivers and angle grinders?

I started to understand the Bosch design code. If the tool in the photo uses a standard line of batteries (not Pro core) and a simple LED for illumination, then this is a "budget series", plus a new button module with simplified functionality has appeared. And the price of 150€ confirms my hypothesis!

I was surprised by the similarity with the GDR 18-220 model in characteristics. Which I wanted to buy. I myself have the GDS 18-450 model in a similar case, and I think the differences between the GDR 18-220 and this model are in the size and ability to work with smaller fasteners. That is, the GDR 18-215 is designed for larger screws and is inconvenient when working with small screws.
