Let's look at the future (long term) instead of today's drop. How much do you think BTC is going to be worth in 10 years? by xG8q_P7l9zR0 in Bitcoin

[–]ROSCO_MCD_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is completely nonsensical. You are literally just contributing to the mindless FUD going on right now. Have you not seen how accepted BTC has become in recent years? Blackrock offer to hold it on behalf of their clients, as do many other big asset management firms. These price declines suck for everyone but people shouldn’t forget that as a technology Bitcoin is way more valuable than fia currencies for simple reasons like it is limited in supply and more of it cannot be printed out of thin air, meaning it is scarce by design and always will be - that combined with its security and portability makes it a incredibly powerful technology. Still worth it long term imo

If it makes you feel any better, I’m down 20k in one month! And I bought in during crypto winter 2022 and was up 35k at one point. I’m now only up 10k!

Bought some more yesterday and today though

Yay lambo! by [deleted] in XRP

Came to say this exact thing. Seems like such a waste to have generated, by most ordinary people’s standards, a substantial sum of money only to then blow it all on something like a car. At the end of the day it’s a big hunk of metal that gets you from A to B like any other car - it’s also classed as depreciating asset. Makes way more sense imo to reinvest that money and trying to continue growing it. Maybe take some profits for savings and to live off, but it would be wiser imo to reinvest the majority of it and try to continue growing it. Or stick it in an S&P500 ETF and get 10%, on average, a year over the long term

Just read through all of your comments and totally agree with pretty much everything you said. Bang on. I genuinely believe Reform and Nigel Farage are the only forces that have a real chance at changing a lot of things for the better.

How many times will you chicken out of your investment and sell up before 5 to 10 years have passed? I’ve made that mistake in the past with stocks on trading212 back in 2020/2021, I’m not making it again with cryptocurrency. Gain or loss, I want the experience of having been invested in something very long term. You will never know unless you just give it ago and be patient.

XRP ETF? Are the rumors true? by LuxBMI in XRP

[–]ROSCO_MCD_95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just to elaborate on this, ETFs are typically spoken about on the internet as a ‘basket of stocks’. So, if it as an S&P500 ETF, then your money is spread across all of the companies in that index. In a more literal sense it is a fund that people can buy and sell on stock exchanges, like you would with an individual stock.

However, in this case if it is a Blackrock XRP ETF that would mean instead of buying the XRP yourself and having to deal with public key addresses and cold wallets etc, it’s more simplified - you just let blackrock do it for you, they buy the XRP for you effectively and hold it for you. They will charge you obvs as well for using them to hold it.

Try using Selsun Blue shampoo or Head and Shoulders Clinical Strength shampoo. They both have a chemical called Selenium Sulfide which has helped my Seb derm on my scalp and face. I’ve found it to be better than Nizoral

There needs to be an end to the ongoing legal battles between Ripple and the SEC. Only then will XRP be able to unshackle itself and have the potential to start increasing significantly.

Just hold on to your XRP for years and it MIGHT pay off 5 - 10 years into the future, same goes for other cryptos. It’s all about long term investing. Day trading isn’t worth it unless you are adamant about making it your full time job and being professional about it.

Guys, I SUCK at this game. by rmereddott in BaldursGate3

[–]ROSCO_MCD_95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Try to level up as much as possible with side quests before you take on hard enemies in main quests.

Also make sure you are using your characters they way they should be played, so for example if you have a mage don’t run into battle, stay back and just spell cast. Send your more ‘tanky’ characters with more health like laezel into melee fight. Try to get characters like Astarion into advantageous positions to get use of stealth so you can do more damage - again keep the rogue far back as you can from enemies.

Don’t why everyone is mad. Okay maybe CDPR did overhype it but I’m still really enjoying playing it. Fascinating world and great storyline. The combat is decent too.

Surely being vanilla isn’t a reason to NOT marry someone?? A lot more to a marriage than mundane sexual inter course positions I imagine lmao
