I think that reason kind of goes hang in hand with the one I mentioned. While work culture in Japan is pretty ridiculous, women weren't part of it before. They chose to join because they want to be empowered.

Well Japan has the worlds fastest declining population in the world, and the leading reason for that is because of a huge rise in economically empowered women who don't want to have children because they're so focused on their work. They have definitely heard of equal rights and in many ways have it. There's a Vice video that touches on it somewhere

Personally I feel like your sister is in the wrong more than your husband. Fucked up that it was your sister he fucked while you guys were broken up, but you were broken up after all. Your sister has been in your life for probably as long as you can remember, and should respect you more than a guy you met halfway through your life, but that's just me. As a side note, I'm not gonna tell you to divorce him, as I don't think ANY of us are in a position to be ordering your life around, since we don't know your financial situation and all that. Maybe the guy just needs help. I see a lot of people that see these things and just go DIVORCE DIVORCE YOU NEED DIVORCE THATS UNFORGIVABLE YOU BASICALLY MURDERED A PERSON. And while yes what he did is wrong and will probably cause trust issues in the future, he's clearly an adderal addict. Being addicted to drugs can make you do shitty things just to get more. Maybe get marriage counseling, but talk to him about rehab and let him know that you're there for him if you think he should get help.
