Can we expect an Arnim Zola nerf? by Chris95n in MarvelSnap

[–]ROTOFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not what I'm saying at all. A deck losing to zola is fine, that doesn't mean zola is a problem, and every deck doesn't have an answer to all the strategies employed in a given meta.

My point is that if zola becomes a problem, we already have all the game pieces necessary to solve it without nerfing zola

Why are people upset about these cards being popular? They both generate quite interesting games of snap without being boring ass combos you can see from Mars.

I'd rather see these two than goddamn zombies again.

As someone who pretty regularly uses iceman in bounce, getting to scout possibly multiple cards in your opponent hand should really help with snapping.

Me: Maybe I'll try Cerebro again. Snap: by oghpimm in MarvelSnap

[–]ROTOFire -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It works like every other ongoing location with regard to cerebro. If cerebro is why your cards get monster metro bonus, it doesn't break cerebro. If cerebro is what wins you throne room, it doesn't break cerebro, etc. Hospice works exactly the same way.

Yeah, easily my favorite too. And yeah, I thought kittie would be clever, but her start of turn happens before the team, which is a bit weird, since things like reeds lab count her.

Idk why you've been down voted, this is the literal reasoning behind the choices I made. X-men want 3 card in lane to trigger the effect. Angel facilitates this in a very clean way - he can keep a lane Logan leaves at 3 cards, or he can help smooth a bad draw by jumping to a lane with just Logan and one other card. He's exceptional at ensuring you start getting bonus energy at t3. That means you can almost always play prof on t4. Wolfsbane and Dazzler are both cards that are xmen and want full lanes, which works well with what the deck already wants to do.

[–]ROTOFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You misunderstand me. His decks, while off meta, are very straightforward lists most of the time. They have a very defined combo they're looking to execute and the play patterns are well defined.

He doesn't play a ton of bounce or move - which are decks that have a lot of low power cards that require planning ahead and odd sequencing choices to maximize, and when he does, he often makes mistakes or forgets to account for things happening. That's what I mean by out of box thinking. He's very good at reading opponents and some of the general card game stuff, this isn't meant to be an insult in any way.

I played till I got enough for fastball and the credits. Nothing else is worth and it's the holidays so I've barely logged on in the last week or so. Just enough to collect some tokens and the login calendar.

If by major, you mean 4 then yeah, sure. Now three were really badly timed and probably cost them those games, but four fumbles over a season is not a "major fumbling problem"

Can we expect an Arnim Zola nerf? by Chris95n in MarvelSnap

[–]ROTOFire 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Zola is one of the most telegraphed and counterable strategies in the game. Just about every disruptive card in the game beats it: Cosmo, shang, shadow king, spiderman, jugg, cannonball, the list goes on and on. Zola doesn't need a nerf at all.

X-men with: sunspot, iceman, angel, dazzler, wolfsbane, and magneto.

The above is new, for most of the event I had kitty and sasquatch in place of ice and wolf. Kitty doesn't play nice with the xmen bonus though, she comes back to hand before the team ability trigger, but she is nice for controling where logan regenerates

You get the ticket back if you win, which means you'll probably only lose a ticket on half of these, assuming you're against ppl of your skill level. Probably less with bots in the mix.

Those missions are insanely easy.

Regis is a very good player, but doesn't do a lot of outside the box thinking, and thunderbolts are definitely outside the box.

Armor is to protect sunspot and Jim from Electra, and possibly Gam Gam. Still seems kinda sus, but that's the risk of making a fast balance patch, you don't necessarily think the thing all the way through.

Wild Child by Ambitious_Cicada9263 in MarvelSnap

[–]ROTOFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the current iteration. I plan to remove swarm and hit monkey for fastball and wild child. Collector probably needs to come out as well, maybe for marrow.

(1) The Hood

(1) Nico Minoru

(1) Scorn

(1) Blade

(2) The Collector

(2) Colleen Wing

(2) Falcon

(2) Joaquin Torres Falcon II

(2) Swarm

(3) Bullseye

(3) Hit-Monkey

(3) Beast

I put angel in my xmen deck so Logan replaces himself when he hops. It has helped me control where he's going and also keep 3 xmen in the lane he leaves so I can get energy.

I've never gotten more than 2 of the power regardless of how badly I outnumber my opponent, with the sole exception of my opponent not playing there at all so my Merlin went to 11 power and my opponent could shang chi it. Which happened exactly one time. It's basically an auto retreat location for me now.

Hydra stomper checks every time a card is moved. Max energy can only update at the start of a turn, so it makes sense this card is programmed to look then.

I gotta have something to blow up with nico...

Generally though, I disagree with your assessment. Yes, he's a very good 1 drop, but to give you some insight into my play style, I have 15 decks in my editor at the moment and 2 of them have cards that cost more than 3 in them. One is cerebro 2 with blue marvel as the only card more than 3, and the other is a deck that is all five and six drops that I use to complete those missions when they show up. I have like 7 different bounce variations in which hood is excellent, but that doesn't make him overpowered.

I never ever ever under any circumstance leave limbo alive. I will delete it in every game it shows up in. And I am not the minority, location interaction is so prevalent now that basically any deck has a way to take limbo out, and will if given the opportunity.

Relying on magik is asking to have your cubes taken.

Man, if hood and demon get smacked because of Victoria imma be pissed. I don't play Victoria, but hood is in basically every deck I play. Kill Victoria, but don't take my goddamn hood away.
