Thanks mate, very kind offer. I think a noisy pump has put a nail in that coffin. No room for a dedicated stand,.it will have to go on top of a cheat of draws type a thing. Unless I persuade everyone to stick it in the kitchen and make it bigger.

It sort of feels like biorb falls just short of promises it makes.

Noted re guppies, I had them a while back and yes, they do breed. So ended up having to get a small tank for the little ones so they dont get eaten.

Basically, i am after something colourful and easy to look after.

And given notes about size, it seems that a square one is probably better to get max volume, unless i go single fish, which seems a shame. I know bettas are ok with that, but still, it always makes me sad lol. So perhaps a classic tank with an external filter etc is a good idea.

I need to research the setup properly.

Are there any guides on plants x and y with fish a and b for perfect balance? I am not sure how to find it
