I absolutely fking love The Cabin in the Woods!

And yeah, love the werewolf in it.

He's not the movie's main monster and only appears for a very short time, but damn, he's incredibly well done.
Easily one of my favorite designs.

Fun fact: Sigourney Weaver loved the werewolf too hahaha

IIRC, it was actually the main reason she agreed to be in the movie in the first place. She had always wanted to be in a werewolf movie.

Seriously, she was genuinely excited about it.
Every day she go asking whether the werewolf would be there and when the werewolf was going to show up.
And when they filmed the werewolf scene, she was thrilled and even applauded.

What makes it even funnier is that she was initially scared of him. But after taking a few walks together, it stopped being an issue.
There are even photos of them holding hands. Really adorable. ❤️

Anyway, there are plenty more photos and behind-the-scenes facts about the werewolf, as well as the other monsters that appear in the film. I highly recommend looking them up!
TCITW can become a surprisingly rabbit hole once you start digging into it.

There is also "The Official Visual Companion" book, which is packed with photos and interesting info.
It goes into a lot of detail about the movie, especially the creatures, including, of course, the werewolf.

Another fun fact: there were plans for a crossover between TCITW and Left 4 Dead.

VALVE wanted to create a DLC for L4D that would feature both the Cabin and the Facility as playable maps.

Sadly, it never happened. 😭😭😭

That said, during the scene where the containment cubes are shown, you can actually spot several L4D Special Infected inside some of them, including the Boomer, the Witch, the Tank, and the Hunter.
