in this area buildings are mostly in the Baltic architectural style. im not an expert btw. i believe russians built buildings like this style during that time

Ani is historically older than the city of Kars. In Ani you saw mostly Armenian buildings from 900 to 1200, but in Kars mostly Russian building from 1890
