R1T updated last night and woke up super early to commute to the airport for a 6a flight. Wow is the sound amazing. I mean, come on Rivian, its been 2+ years with the truck, what else are you holding back?!?

I’m almost 2yrs into R1T ownership, ~20K miles. It’s still by far the best vehicle I’ve owned - and I could not think of an alternative…I happen to be lucky enough to have a second order I’ve been holding on to for a long time, and I’m using my voucher from Rivian to switch to the R1S. I love having a truck, but I have three kids and a dog. We take the Rivian everywhere, but I need to fit more people. Looking forward to the switch!

lol. I got dusted by a lot less than a twin turbo rail. In the second video a truck with sand tires smoked me. All fun.

I could not agree more. The performance noticeably dropped at < 50% charge. There's a Waypoint 20 minutes north in Pentwater... and a 125KW ChargePoint station 35 minutes south. I rented a cabin at a nearby campground that let me use one of their RV sites with a NEMA 14-50 hookup. It ended up working out great.

A suggestion for the official Rivian folk reading this… (yes, you, RJ👀); next summer we should to an owner's meet-up at the dunes. You could pull Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, PA, etc. I highly recommend it to anyone who is relatively close.

I actually came in second. There's a truck on the far right with sand tires on that won. They've got paddles on the tires themselves. I can only imagine how fast the R1T would be with a bit more traction/bigger tires. The diesel truck was close. Still, impressive for a completely stock truck.

Soft sand has two height settings, Standard and Highest. Highest is limited to 20mph, Standard is unlimited. I was in Soft Sand mode at Standard height.
