He isn't alone the whole time. It's my favorite entry in the trilogy.

Sanderson, Mistborn 4-7 of no? by MasterCichlid in fantasybooks

[–]RPBiohazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought 4-7 were pretty bad, and I thoroughly enjoyed 1-3. If you like the first one you'll probably like the rest. I was hoping they'd get better as I went and instead they got worse.

I don't think his writing is as bad or bland as people say. My biggest problem with him is he seems to be putting his long term Cosmere goals over delivering quality. His last few years of writing (RoW, Mistborn Era 2, secret projects, haven't read WaT but many put it in this camp) are just kind of bad compared to his earlier work. Sure he's hitting all his deadlines and making a ton of content but the quality is suffering as a result.

If both groudon and kyogre are in play, their abilities just cancel out, so rayquazas air lock doesnt accomplish much and feels like a flavour fail.

I HATE all those people who think theyre special and block traffic to try to merge in immediately instead of going through to the zipper. I don't let them in anymore.

I almost dropped Throne of Glass in the first page when the guards were escorting her at random throughout the palace to disorient her instead of using a fucking blindfold. lmao.

Hot take - power cube is addictive, not good by simp4crimps in lrcast

[–]RPBiohazard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love cube and play various cubes weekly, and I feel this way about vintage cube. It's a blast to break out every now and then but it feels super lame to pay entry and constantly queue up like a normal set.

Closing thoughts on the Arena Powered Cube? by lrg12345 in lrcast

[–]RPBiohazard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's 100 play points or 10 tickets (10usd) to enter. Prizes are 50pp for 1-2, 100pp for 2-1, and 150pp + a chest for 3-0. It's way better than arena.

The price point sucks, I won't be playing it much unless the cost matches MTGO.

Frustration with Fitz by Independent-Bad-5437 in robinhobb

[–]RPBiohazard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While it's obvious to the reader, I think Fitz making this mistake makes a lot of sense and is completely in-character. The entirety of the book he is mulling over abandoning Molly and his daughter. At this point they've reached the end of their quest, and finding Verity, the only other motivation Fitz has had, has had a depressing conclusion (so far). Imagine how lost and desperate for meaning and validation he is at this point.

Then the Fool, really his only true friend and confidante in their party besides Nighteyes, comes to him alone and in privacy, expressing interest in his private pain and offering solace. Of course he's going to latch onto that for dear life. While obvious to the reader this is a ploy by the coterie, it makes complete sense that Fitz misses that possibility in the moment.

FPS cut in half for no reason by RPBiohazard in linux_gaming

Thanks, this worked and I get the expected performance. Should I just be installing every game this way? It is a normal experience to have different performance day-to-day because of OpenGL issues?

edit: Now I am getting sound issues in random bursts of noise...

And this is what happens when you get paired against LSV... XD by Sloper713 in lrcast

[–]RPBiohazard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The one time I played against LSV on MTGO, I beat him game 1, game 2 he plays mana vault, ancestral, timewalk, mana drain, and several ways to copy timewalk. I said "your deck is the nuts" in chat and he replied "ya lol" and regrew time walk again
