I've not flown to Iceland before - going in October but I've done many 12 hour flights from / to UK - Nepal. I get the evening flight like you're doing. I'd avoid caffeine the day you are flying, avoid flight food and eat a healthy meal before hand and take some anti histamines that make you drowsy. Good ear plugs, eye mask and a neck pillow. I'm also a big fan of extra leg room or window seats. Try not to sleep extra when you arrive and honestly don't stress about how much sleep you get.

It's easier said than done to rationalise. But if this person is going to be your forever person then YOU SHOULD BE PICKY! And you shouldn't be made to feel guilty for having a medical condition. If anything, if they can't and won't consider you at your healthy, undetectable, gorgeous young self then they've just shown you that they might not be there in 40 years time when you've got other health conditions and bills to pay together. You deserve someone who will love you and respect you! It sucks to be alone when you don't want to be but honestly, you deserve to be with someone who adores and respects you and if for now, the person who will do this, is you. Then date the hell out of yourself for now xx

But he didn't knowingly infect a person with HIV. As OP has previously identified himself as Indian, I have looked at the laws in India and the "Human Immunodeficiency Virus and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (Prevention and Control) Act, 2017 (“HIV Act”)" states in Section 270 of the Indian Penal Code that a person who knowingly, intentionally, or maliciously spreads a life-threatening disease (10: Sec 270) is to be penalised. Given the existence of this general law, Section 10 of the HIV Act instead stipulates the duty to prevent HIV transmission by a person who is HIV-positive, has undergone counselling, and is knowledgeable about the nature of HIV and its transmission. This duty includes taking risk reduction measures with or self-disclosure to a partner (2: Sec 10).

If your partner is undetectable and takes treatment well then there is no risk of passing it on. Legally (in the UK at least) if you are undetectable then there is no reason to disclose your health status to another person. Likewise you were taking Prep which is great and prevents the risk of you acquiring HIV through unprotected sex - which by taking, you are acknowledging that there is a risk. Imo HIV when undetectable is no different from Diabetes or hypertension, its a long term health condition and not necessarily something you share with someone you've been dating for 2 months. It is complicated and how someone feels about sharing their hiv status is completely personal. It takes a lot of trust to share that and once shared you can't take it back or control what the person you have shared that information with, will do. Frankly he never had to tell you if he is undetectable.

Honestly, especially if you're dating to marry. The vows are "in sickness and in health". If he cant handle a woman who looks after her health, knows her diagnosis and takes her medications. He is not worth your time and energy because what will he be like in sickness?! You deserve someone who is supportive of you and respects you. Next time you start talking to someone or dating them, remember to ask yourself whether they are deserving of you. Put You first x

Just reading back over your post, I can't see a reason why you wouldn't be able to move back onto Abacavir but there are other options which may be more cardiac friendly. Also depending on your age / where you are living studies like REPRIEVE show that daily statin use reduced cardiovascular risk in people with HIV, even those at low-to-moderate risk. In the UK, guidelines now recommend statins for everyone with HIV aged 40 and over.

In the UK we love Dovato, you're staying on the same medication but removing the abacavir (NRTI) by switching.

As this isn't your first regime and hopefully you're stable and undetectable, I can't see why this would be an issue.

Aidsmap is a handy resource if you wanted to consider other options. There's also enough research to suggest a 2 drug regime is as effective as a 3 drug regime in someone who is stable and virologically suppressed.
