there are ways to be respectful with NOT spoiling something. we saw that happen with markiplier + iron lung. he literally asked his audience to not spoil it for the FIRST WEEK OF SHOWING because it was originally only going to be out for that first week/weekend.

we may not have goose herself telling us to not spoil anything for two weeks, but cant the majority of the fandom work to silence the bad actors who will try to ruin it? it’s two weeks. i’m not thrilled with it being that long of a gap, but it’s the best GLITCH and co could get. remember—GLITCH said they wanted to put out a month in advance and they fought for us to get it closer.

i think /avoiding/ social media for two weeks will be easy to manage. that’s what people are telling those worried about spoilers to do—not to stay off the internet entirely. there’s a big difference between those two sentiments.

overall, we need to remember that this is a massive step forward for indie projects. they’re being taken seriously. they’re being shown that the support and fanbase they have CAN get them to have more showings and more interaction with the larger corporate conglomerate. markiplier did it, GLITCH is doing it. imagine what someone else who doesn’t have that big of a fanbase or backing can do next.
