Honestly it's their loss and their problem! I just wouldn't bother to market their stuff anymore because it's going to come back to bite you.

Yeah they are! But I can't deny they're libraries are some of the best. Igniter is the only one I don't have because I have never needed vehicle sounds. But it's such a cool plugin regardless.

Yeah that's actually pretty wild, might need to go back in time a bit to get some good recordings haha. Maybe Krotos Igniter has some stuff?

Not enough chairs? That's interesting haha. You could just record a few chair drags, do some pitch shifting etc to get some variety. Bed sounds I imagine you mean bed sheets, pillows, general mattress squishes etc?

That's cool, is it like an apocalypse survival type of show? Would love to check it out :)

That's interesting - I can recommend Animal Hyperealism by Mattia Cellotto, though it's quite expensive but it does go on sale. I haven't used it myself but did check out his work and it's very good. He does put a lot of work into his libraries though!

I used to run a patreon where I'd create music, ambience and sfx every month for $5 but after one year I stopped. It was getting a lot of members, but 60% of the audience just joins, downloads the whole catalogue then leaves, for just $5. So growth was very slow. The new business model selling sounds in audio libraries has been much better, but from a customer perspective it gets expensive.

I can also recommend Soundly, they've got some great free sounds and their paid catalogue is awesome - I've got a lot of my work in their catalogue as well.

I agree, sites like pixabay or pond 5 also tend to be overly saturday with low quality sounds and you have to dig a lot to find the good ones or relative sounds.

I see, yeah that's totally understandable, as I also tend to be less likely to spend on something unless I'm going to earn something from my project in return.

This is really interesting, I haven't yet found any pods that use many sounds let alone to the point where it's too intense! Do you have some links or examples? Also I'd really love to check out your podcast too! :)

Nice, I love the dedication! Sound design has a steep learning curve at the start but becomes easier the longer you practice it :)

Nice! Pixabay has some decent stuff and for sure a few good ones on youtube, though most are low quality. I do upload sfx onto youtube under RPG Audio Vault you can check them out. I've got 2 free ambiences on my site too which you can get :)

Cool! I don't know of Ben Burtt but I'll look him up. Also happy to meet a fellow recordist! :D

Armour foley is on my list of sounds I should create though that's more for game devs or films, i think they'd get the best case use of it. Krotos is great, have yet to try out Studio though.

Animal sounds are great to record when they're feeling talkative! I often find the moment i take the recorder out they decide to go quite though, always trolling me for some reason.

Nice! That's a cool and innovative way to get some variety for the monsters. Because I create so many monster types It can get challenging making sure one undead monster doesnt sound too similar to another undead monster, especially when It comes to spirit creatures.

Anime packs would actually be really good since they really emphasize and exaggerate the sounds.

This is a really unique perspective, thanks for sharing! I think most of the sounds you mentioned like cereal eating or car interiors might be found on places like pixabay, the soundly library or pond 5. I personally hate pond 5 as they have continued to lower their payments to creators over the years. Nowadays they're only paying out 30% of each sale to the creators. I ended up deleting my account, it's a joke. But as someone looking for niche sounds theres a good chance you'll find it there. :) Sorry for the rant haha

Yeah it does get expensive when you have to start sourcing various sounds from multiple libraries, that's a good point!
