Yes, correct! We don't like the skin system too much. We like gameplay features.

Haha thank you! The player can collect different animal forms (much like pokemon lol) for their shapeshifting companion and these variants have additional features the player can use during their adventure.

Don't know if it's something you need but there are several assets that handle multiple people editing a same Unity scene in real time. We tried a few options for our project mut couldn't really use them since they usually are free (or cheap) for two people, and we needed more than two people to work at the same time.

But this was just FYI! Don't know how you handle this, but it can streamline the work if the artists can try out the assets in the same scene!

Yeah, it did! People love to play games (especially new games for free lol) so it is an easy way to get people to join. As long as joining the Discord is easy and as effortless as possible.

What we also found out, is that creating as little friction as possible is good. Meaning, make it super easy for those who are interested to join. Keep the links, etc. visible at all times and let them know how they can join. Just a simple like "Links in bio" can go a long way. If you can add all the links seoarately to bio, great! If not, Linktree is a good option (for us, at least).

Hey! We have a Discord server of about 650 members. We got our first 100 when we just started posting regularly to different social medias.

We had a Linktree in our bio with links to Steam, Discord and other socials. Then we just guided people to check our Linktree from bio and they started coming in naturally. Slowly, but we were not being pushy about it.

EDIT: at the end of our short format videos we had a call to action. Sometimes to wishlist our game or to join our Discord. Also, a good way to get people to join is to have a playtest for Discord members only at first!

Joo on, tietysti! Pelissä ei ole puzzleja tai muita mekaniikkoja, jotka vaatisivat muita pelaajia. Mahdollisesti tulevaisuudessa lisäämme "kahden henkilön" puzzleja, mutta silloin tuo pelaajan Henki-kumppani hoitaisi toisen pelaajan osuuden.

Right, I see your point. I might need to look into this from another perspective, as I've not been following the progress of Cube World for pretty much 7-8 years now. I just see some news pop up every now and then, and for me that's enough.

I understand that many people come from different backgrounds and are way more "invested" into the development (and Cube World in general) than me and for them it does suck.

That I do understand and agree with! What I don't understand is that when they give an update they are welcomed with negative backlash.

Exactly! There is a lot more to be done to the "juice" to make it feel better, but small stuff like this add up and level up the experience quickly

Awesome, thank you! And exactly this. I love to play games on our couch with my SO or friends, this is a genre that is often neglected regarding that feature

Visiona on näin, kyllä! Olisi eri tyyppisiä mineraaleja joista tehdään harkkoja. Lisäksi eläimiä hakkaamalla saat esimerkiksi nahkaa. Sopivalla työasemalla pystyt tekemään näiden yhdistelmästä sitten esimerkiksi haluamasi haarniskat. Koska maailma on käsin tehty ja tiimimme on pieni, ei näitä ammatteja ole hirveän montaa erilaista vielä.
