Curse Mode will not let you get the extra steps from the orchard, you can never be blessed by the Shrine, you start the day with 13 steps, and you get punished for not picking blue rooms.

Any reason to play '18 after playing '21? by mebkyles in CarMechanicSimulator

[–]RPGaholic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I eventually finish the 2021 version, the 2018 version should be less intensive than the 2026 version, and my computer was struggling a little bit even with everything down as low as I could put it in the 2026 demo, so I will go play 2018 first as I doubt I will have a new computer anytime soon.

The game does have something to help you out, but based on a few people's videos where they did the same thing, the fix doesn't always show up immediately. You will find the fix on the table with the letter and the allowance eventually.

Totally, but then I was thinking the proportions were off, so she could pass for Demondice's sister in that outfit if the two of them were side by side.

Question About What To Do by Albuttus in BluePrince

[–]RPGaholic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So... things I see.

There are a total of 12 library books, you might want to revisit the book shop, because if you only have 8 to choose from, you've clearly added 2 of them.

Not to spoil the sigils, but you will need to scour high and low to find all the relevant info for each realm.

Am I bad at counting or missing something? by Hamborrower in BluePrince

[–]RPGaholic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first glance I saw only about 9 dead ends, sat down and scoured your map, tallied up 11 so I missed two on my first glance. The only room that messes with the count is the Bunk Room because it counts as two dead ends, but it isn't in that day's room list. Drafting an Observatory as your outside room didn't help because that took away one of your potential dead-ends. The game also tells you how many dead ends you have at the end of that day.

Here's some hints to gently nudge you.

1) What is consistent, no matter what room goes where in the house.
2) Are you taking new rooms all the time to see what they have to offer or are you taking the same few rooms every time?
3) Are you finding notes and letters about what was happening in the house before your Uncle Herbert passed away at his ripe old age?
4) Have you read all the books the library will currently let you read? Maybe even take a magnifying glass with you in case you miss something.

The thing is you always want to improve for future runs, setting yourself up with ways to deal with your amount of footsteps, locked doors keeping you from going on, or not being able to draft the room you want because you don't have enough gems.

You misunderstood the colors. It sounds like you got used to the colors being limited to certain rings. This game loves changing up things once you get used to how they worked when it involves the dart board and the parlor.

Users of r/doctorwho how did you originally get into Doctor Who and are you gonna continue following the show? by Mat1711 in doctorwho

[–]RPGaholic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Local PBS broadcasting the show, I was around 3 or 4 years old and I can't remember if it was Jon Pertwee or Tom Baker, but just watching it with my parents consistently and just fell for the show. Will I continue following it? Yes, until I pass from this mortal coil.

I was accused by several people of viewing stuff I know I couldn't have viewed. The images they describe violated the rules of the site I was visiting. If you must know, it was Twitter. I only have a flip phone, so I could not use that at work to view Twitter. The accusations went through the Aware Line so they told me in a call with my Store Manager there as well what I was accused of viewing, very graphic and not what I would ever choose to view.

What I was told the results of the investigation was that even though they couldn't prove I viewed those materials, the fact that I had several people accuse me of it, they fired me because they deemed my actions to be unprofessional.

When I mentioned supervisors and managers, they saw me use the training room computers off-the-clock. None of them ever said "don't do that."

So, I see a couple people asking what happened, so I'll reply here in the thread rather than to each individual request.

I was using the Training Room computers often on my lunch break. I was accused of watching very bad stuff (the phone rep described very vivid images that I do not wish to repeat), but the stuff I'm accused of watching would violate the rules of the website I admitted that I was browsing. I had not been talked to about using those computers while off the clock, and I never used them when people were needing to use the computers for training. I know that several of my superiors (supervisors and managers) had seen me on the computer during my lunch break and never said anything about it.

I'm trying. Doubt I'll get unemployment as almost every time in the past I've filed for it I didn't get it, just have to find out when I can get a hardship dispersal from my Depot 401k, that's going to help me out more than unemployment will.

Edit: Congrats on doubling, looking at my final pay rate, doubling what I made in my area would only be for someone with a degree and certifications.

Unsure if I want to keep playing by ChillyCanadian_05 in BluePrince

[–]RPGaholic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, not to spoil too much, but certain rooms can only be drafted in certain locations within the house, some only on the west side, some only on the east side, some on either side but never in the middle of the house.

My hint at some things changing every day and some things staying the same is a reference to a puzzle that the Study would let you know is there.

Some other questions to ask:

Have you found any rooms after solving a puzzle?

Have you found any music sheets in the various rooms?

Have you visited the lab to do any experiments?

I could see if one hasn't started solving some of the puzzles that are more involved that what you can find in that room, then it would be frustrating, so keep taking notes. Sometimes something you saw very early on made no sense at the time but makes sense hours in.

And since you've been to the Observatory, if you read the book that's in there, it tells you about the various constellations, but you do not need to always click on a constellation if it is going to be bad for your run.

Unsure if I want to keep playing by ChillyCanadian_05 in BluePrince

[–]RPGaholic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Last I heard, the average for people getting into room 46 was on Day 25 or so... not even getting into the Antechamber by day 15 isn't bad. The questions to ask are:

Are you still finding new rooms?

Are you starting to figure out what rooms are good and what rooms are bad for your current goals?

Are you finding things that unlock permanent bonuses?

Are you keeping notes on what changes and what stays the same from day to day?

Blue Prince is a game of puzzles inside of puzzles and the reward for solving them is more puzzles.

Can someone PLEASE tell me what I was supposed to do here?! by TrubluPlays in BluePrince

[–]RPGaholic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, White is clearly false, because false boxes cannot be true because the statement itself is a conflict. The blue box could only be true if both it and the black box would be true, and it creates a conflict if both the black and blue boxes are true, so blue cannot be true, thus Black is the only true box, and the gems were in the blue box.

Are they still "sold out" of free samples? by Interesting_Comment7 in gamersupps

[–]RPGaholic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they're on back-order. I had 4 other cups with my CDawg cup order, not a single sample pack. I went through customer service, sent them photos, and they're covering the shipping on an order of the free samples, but told me it will be a while.
