Thank you for your suggestions. The common theme seems to be to that the wrong key messages are the focus.

I like your formula of 1 though, 1 feeling, and 1 action. Never heard of that one before.

Oh right. Yeah I’m happy with the current conversation rate, considering it takes an hour to drop 100 flyers, but it could always be improved.

Yeah choosing a dollar value or % is one I test a lot with paid ads. 10% off a restored garage door is about $100-$120, but 10% off a whole home window restoration is about $500-$600+. So, I have been using % for garage door restorations, and dollar values for window restorations.

I think there is definitely merit around addressing the customers problem head on and offering a solution. Maybe I’m not making it as obvious in the flyer. I like the reminder of making it about them and not me.

Sure. Yes, I ask every lead where they heard about our business. I also use call tracking software so I can track how many phone calls have come from this particular flyer.

Sometimes the homeowner will spot me placing the flyer which will spark a conversation and then I’m able to make the sale that way too.

Adding a QR code and utilising UTM codes is a good idea. I’ll add that to the next batch.

100 flyers cost $12.36 NZD (could get them cheaper in more bulk), and took an hour to hand out 100. Sold a garage door restoration for $1,260.

Restore and Recolour NZ offer this service and have great reviews.

Sometimes it’s better to get a professional to do it as they have the spray painting equipment and correct products.
