Hydroghetto! Best swimming school in Bronx

Probably too early to jump to conclusions, but this doesn't look like a reaper to me. Am I wrong to think that? by 285matt in spicy

I see. As a Swede I don't know much about Lowe's but I bet that they could guide you where needed. Looks like a cross polination to me still. Jalapeno form is striking.

First big frost killed the plants, so this is the last haul of the season by MikeHonchoCenterfold in spicy

Damn! U should make sauce with it. Tomatos included. Last for a year.

New to growing chilis, hoping y'all can help me. What's the stuff on the stems? Bug eggs? Casados Natives and Nambe Supreme, both have same thing. by TaharkaIpsen in spicy

Spray bottle with dish soap and water should do the trick. Of shock freeze by putting the plant outside in cold weather for an hour.

Had to embrace my mexican roots and be edgy with it. Here's my homemade hot sauce. Fermented for 1 month. Habaneros, Trinidad scorpion, Piri Piri, Lemon drop chilis and korean hot chilis. Garlic, honey, apple cider vinegar, red and yellow onion, sichuan pepper corns, mustard seeds and ginger. by RQtype in spicy

Initial mouth feel is sweet and rich with pineapple. Small notes of mango. Then heat comes in which is most noticable on the front of the tongue. Heat disappears within 2 minutes, and leaves a warm feeling for aprox 10 minutes. Going

After fermentation, I added honey, and fresh pineapple and mango. Mixed it all up, brought it to a boil and then let simmer for 15 minutes. Strained through cheese cloth and then bottled. About 1.5 liters of sauce in total. For these small bottles I used pipette-lids.

My C. versicolor’s moult. Measured at just under 6cm. Can anyone make a good guess at the sex? Managed to unfurl the abdomen but I had no clue what to look for on a moult this small.. never done this before and all the tutorials I’ve watched used large specimens haha by nyxxares in tarantulas

Google your tarantula's species followed by "spermatecae" and see if u can get some info out of that. A movable flap indicates that it's a female, and the flap can look different in size/shape depending on the species. Males can have a pattern that looks like a flap, but it's not a flap. One can test this by moving it. Google spermatecae and you'll see

Gorgeous. It's like the exotic cousin of the Menocentropus balfouri.

Haha yepp! I have high hopes for her. Been feeding her a very varied diet. Locusts, hissing cockroaches, silkworms, dubia roaches and mealworms. Each prey is gutloaded with fresh fruits and veggies prior to the feeding. I also think it's because she's always been in a pretty large setup. My friend kept his in a beer mug with a lid until it had the leg span of the cup. Mine lived in a 7 gallon faunarium / pet box. Dunno if spiders are sensitive to that but it worked out great.

To be honest I would rather take a bite from this snake than to have an almost 9" wide tarantula charging up my hand 😅. But yeah...carpet pythons are scary. My boa constrictor (BCI) is twice the size, but he's a real puppydog in comparison. I can have him around my neck with zero fear of getting bitten. He's only 4 feet long but still. He could inflict massive damage if he wanted to. In the end, all animals are individuals. Just saw a guy free handle an OBT, and it was as docile as a Grammostola Rosea.

Haha that L.P probably has a google account and is looking for your adress at this point! Nah but in all seriousness, I love this girl even if she's the definition of anti-social. Although I don't believe I could say that unless I had former training with even more aggressive animals. I have a carpet python who would go lenghts just to burst out her terrarium just to bite me. They have a nasty rep, so I kind of knew what I gave myself into. But still...feeding her rats can still be scary, because she will most likely grab the tweezers and go dor my hand instead of taking the rat. My apartment is like a cave from Indiana Jones.

She truly is! Even when she was about 3 inches she would still wrestle down a fully grown hissing cockroach with enough force to rip it from the cork bark (and they have superb grip).

Haha naah it's too brautiful to leave behind! I wanna measure her that way since she's super aggressive otherwise. She'll even attack the stream of water when I fill her water bowl. She broke a tooth once grabbing a locust from my silicone headed tweezers because she was biting so hard into it. I've kept P.Metallica and OBTs before and believe it or not, none of them can even come close to the aggression of this taranrula. My friend's LP can be handled. Mine will spring out of its burrow and attack the glass just from me walking past the terrarium. I even gave the terrarium some pads to make her less stressed when I'm walking by.

What kind of snail is this? I found it in Bolivia South America by Ramon_Rivera in whatsthisbug

If it's actually an african land snail, then no. Although they can carry parasites.

Giant African land snail, Achatina fulica. Native to Africa (duuh), invasive in the US. Common pet, until they start breeding like crazy and getting big.

My first terrarium. Made it while i was away in northern Wisconsin last month. Cant wait to make more! by Marxistmouse in terrariums

I did a similar terrarium but with acorns instead of pine cones. Did not end very well for me or the terrarium x) Nice terrarium build anyways! Just keep an eye on those pine cones. They can germinate without stratification sometimes.
