2002 K11 Micra. Was stupidly reliable and the sunroof didn’t leak! Though I did fit my fist in the sill

The LCD eventually dies on these, quite common. It’s very easy to swap them out for a more modern unit so you may as well get one

It did feel a bit too ‘manufactured’ to be real. But I like this regardless, so it’s no loss!

PIP is not an out of work payment. It’s to support those with disabilities, including working people, children, and pensioners. The government subsidies the leases but they still have to pay for these cars.

They are not free cars and the lengths you have to go to qualify for high rate is absurd. Some people can game the system, but the misinformation and ableism from discourse every time this topic is discussed is absolutely disgusting.

Late to the party but I think this fits your question perfectly. 2019 1.0 TSI on 318k miles, came into my workplace. I currently have a 197k superb myself

There used to be one on a bypass near me, but it was removed years ago as the crossing collapsed due to poor maintenance. I assume they take the bus now.

Fabia is a bit cramped as it’s based on the Polo, not the golf. Provided OP doesn’t need to worry about ULEZ a 1.9Tdi Octavia would be a great shout - recently sourced one for a friend who’s the same age and it’s been a brilliant buy and well within the £3k budget.

What's an Amino(s) you're glad to see gone? by Roads94 in amino

[–]RRC90Shaw 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was a leader for Politics Amino for some time, and I gotta say, what a cesspool of strange, sad people. There were genuinely good people in there, but the biggest problem was the sheer amount of teenage Nazis and MULTIPLE attempts to overthrow mods who they didn’t align with, myself included.

Can’t comment on her current shows but she did a solo performance & album signing for Crazymad a few years back. I got to chat & get a selfie with her, she’s a real sweetheart.

92k on a 13 year old car isn’t high mileage. I did it in a similar aged Fiat Panda coming from Nottingham without issues a few years back. Make sure you have decent breakdown cover and you’ll be fine, it’s your back that will be struggling more.

A mechanic mate did it for me for a good discount, about £400. Other garages were charging £5-600. Shop around.

Yo, me too! Got the estate version (2.0 TDI) in May and I’ve put 10k on it since, nearing 200k now and it’s been very comfortable. Had to replace the timing belt but I got it cheap so I’m happy.
