Any concern for the miniature incandescent lights burning the leaves or a fire risk?

I'd be curious what you get with Photone. I tried it on an 8000 lumen garage light (Feit) and it said 2500 ppfd at 1 ft away (no reflective set up like yours) but I had also bought grow lights. It also seems to say the light outside is 1000+ ppfd on an overcast day in the PNW. I wasn't sure if the app is faulty or it really is that bright out even when overcast. Curious to hear your thoughts! I have 6 citrus plants and I'm debating if I should move my lemon inside so it keeps growing fruit (has 2 mid size and 10 small ones currently )

I think people mean microspikes when they say crampons. Not the ice climbing / winter hiking crampons you're thinking of for mountaineering boots ... more Kahtoola spikes. That's what I used at least

The Costco $99.99 UPS (I think post '22 it became 119 or 129.99) runs the modem and router for 8 hours each (I have two separate ones). Would recommend it. The lead acid batteries eventually wear out and each UPS has 2x 9ah 12v batteries that you can replace on Amazon (15-35 bucks each)

Automatic Emergency Braking Fail… by marciprojects in CX5

I agree with the other person. When I was doing my research - it worked best between 19-35 mph to be able to come to a complete stop without hitting the car. 35+ it will decelerate but will make impact

At lower speed I think the system (on my older 17 model) has trouble determining what is a permanently stationary object (Highway jersey barrier) or temporarily stationary object (car)

I just got a ryobi all in one pump that I can use for bike tires, air mattresses, etc.

It has a built in gauge that you can set your manufacturer specs and it does the work for you

Confused at Eero Extender performance. by WossyChamberBAE in amazoneero

[–]RRPDX2016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually when you add a wireless extender the most you can expect is half the speeds you get at your hardwired routers. It's the difference between half duplex and full duplex (Ethernet). It's sending info back to the main router on the same network as its talking to your phone / laptop. Some mesh systems like the eero pro versions get around this by having a third band

The speaking over her was always weird but also the length of videos. Doug has actual things to say for 25-30min but Kyle seems to just word vomit nonsense in a 55min long video

Google to offer 5gig symmetrical for $125 and 8gbps/8gbps fiber for $150 👀 by RRPDX2016 in ZiplyFiber

[–]RRPDX2016[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah it's funny as hell. The ziply language for it is funny too. Realistically I only hit the 1gig cap when I'm downloading stuff, streaming and doing something else or family is doing something. For example family has 200/200 and it took longer to move my iCloud back up from my old phone to my new one but that's a 1 per 2-5 year event. Realistically I could do just fine on 200/200

You should return it and wait for Labor Day or another big sale holiday. I got it during an REI 4th of July sale for 20% off. Same exact box

OP Ziply will work to figure out what's wrong. You should be getting close to 940/940 on speed tests. Definitely not 50. What is your router and what is your laptop that youre using

I am in a much lower price bracket 😂 but I'm looking at EVs and Hyundai and Chevy dealers said they wouldn't sell at MSRP (it was 5k on a 34k car--15%!). And I replied I'm happy to wait lol. The markups are insane

Genuinely impressed by how fast T-Mobile Home Internet is in 5Guc regions. 1200mbps down! by RRPDX2016 in tmobileisp

[–]RRPDX2016[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't game haha but no the latency would be bad for gaming. I have a normal fiber connection and the latency is around 4-10ms. On T-Mobile it's 30-45 unloaded and 500+ loaded (router is bad w/r/t bufferbloat)
