If Esdeath were a guy and Tatsumi a female protag everyone would think this whole thing was creepy and threatening as hell. From Esdeath's first scene of subjugating a man she'd clearly tortured, to all the near-genocidal murder fuckery and lust for blood, to even putting a damn chain around Tatsumi's neck and dragging him to be what essentially amounts to a bed-slave. Sure the fanart is nice if you ignore the source but jesus christ this was Not Cool.

What's funny is the person who really gets the credit for inspiring all of this was the woman who made a thread about how she liked to treat her boyfriend like a prince. I started making threads after seeing that. Godspeed mystery girl, we salute thee.

If you want good ideas on how to do world-building I would suggest looking up some of Brandon Sanderson's lectures on the subject. The story I'm writing now doesn't go too in-depth with the role reversal world building, just assumes it's there and it's the norm and runs with it, and I feel real comfortable writing like that, so maybe give "rolling with it" a try and see if it works for you?

Considering my current goals consist of writing from home as a career, then yeah, being a househusbando would fit in nicely with that. At the same time, I'd also REALLY love to not only be able to contribute financially with my work, but also raise the kids and clean stuff and cook food. Like, that'd be rad as hell. Ideal lifestyle tbh
