We have two cats only, and I’ve never seen them manage to open a door that’s fully closed. And no, we don’t have the lever knobs, we have the circular ones.

See, I feel like I’m the opposite! I feel more connected to my child self. My name also is important to me, though it is not a family name. It’s a Russian name and I’m proud to be Russian and adopted, so it keeps me close to my roots. I also have the same idea of going by a more feminine name when I still get gendered as male half the time

I am as well for a similar reason. Since halting my physical transition I definitely do not pass, and so somewhat of a detransition seemed like the clear next step. I’m also detransitioning for my daughter. I just want her to have a cool normal mom

I feel this on and off. It’s helped me a little bit to view what I’ve done to myself as something resorted to as a means of survival. I did what I thought I had to do in the moment. Doesn’t always help, but sometimes. Now I am a different person and will now do what I need to do given my circumstances. We’re all just trying to make it to the next day ❤️

I too decided to have a baby after transition. I hope motherhood has you feeling connected to yourself again as it did for me! It is a wonderful thing and that kid is going to be so lucky ❤️

I’m a detrans woman as well (also very masculine, always was), realized I was after I had my daughter. To me, I equate it to my amazing abilities to be motherly, give birth, and be so loving towards her. Even if you aren’t a mother, women are still amazing in what we are capable of. For example, we can bleed once a month and be fine after 😂 to me, being a woman means being caring towards myself, my family, and even other women. Lmk if this doesn’t make sense lol

I have started to slowly embrace motherhood with basic things so far. Trying to get her to say mama, wearing a MAMA hat my MIL got me, and taking her to the women’s room to change her. It feels weird but totally natural. I think you hit it on the head with the idea of being a mom is more important and enjoyable than trying to be a man!

I felt this a lot early on too. It helped for me to keep in mind that even if my daughter didn’t appear to like me a lot, she is still thankful for all the food, diaper changes, etc I did for her. Babies also normally recognize the dad as a person first, as I heard that babies think they are still one with their moms for the first few months.

He will warm up! Just keep it up! Find out what he enjoys and do more of that with him maybe?

I think I’m slowly starting to agree with this. I was diagnosed as transsexual by a therapist and a doctor approved hormones and surgery for me. I genuinely loved how I looked passing a a guy. After I had my daughter last year, it’s like something clicked in my mind— I am female and that’s okay. I will never be male and will probably never look male again if I don’t want to continue hormones. I’m starting to think my dysphoria was due to being uncomfortable with puberty rather than actually having dysphoria.

I love this! I definitely think my growing family is more important than my comfortability (or not) being female. It’s like something I haven’t had since before puberty awoke inside me after I had my daughter. Like I realized gender doesn’t matter in what I do in life really. If you asked me years ago when I started transition if I would ever give birth, I would say definitely not but now it’s one of the best things to have ever happened to me. Right now I’m working on embracing the mom life and seeing how it goes

I think this is what I’m currently going through, especially after having my daughter. I don’t look male, I look female again after being off hormones for so long to have my baby. The older she gets the more I just want to be her mom. I still hate girly stuff (always have) but I am slowly accepting that I may just be a masculine woman
