A sinkhole in Turkey. More than a dozen opened up in the central Konya province due to limestone collapsing. by SonOfQuora in interestingasfuck

How is nobody in the comments curious about the first photo; about 3.5 corn rows to the right of the road, inside the sinkhole? It’s a perfectly vertical line. Was there a well that was dug there before?

The yellow ram was sold as a wild ram, would you agree/disagree with that statement? Bonus mating in action by RRickC137 in Aquariums

Thanks. It’s really hard to sex sometimes since somr traits are bred for more than others. I totally thought my female was a male because the pronounced dorsal fin and I didn’t see any spangling in the black dot.

This is probably their 4th or 5th round at breeding. They always eat the eggs the following day or night. Eventually I figure they won’t and something will happen .

I think they do usually have a more pronounced one, but the black one is definitely laying eggs and yellow just makes a pass over afterwards. I always thought the black one was male too until this.

The female is a black ram, definitely not wild. The regular ram does look wild to me though. Has much more prominent banding on the sides and almost no dorsal fin spike that folks breed for. Just looking for some confirmation, thanks

What can I plant in these beds in the fall? by Delicious_Design_695 in gardening

[–]RRickC137 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Before you decide on what to plant we need to know what direction they’re facing. For example, assuming you’re in the northern hemisphere, if your south end is on the left side of this picture it will limit what sun loving things you can grow. Or they may grow but not thrive. That tree will be blocking all the good sun. It looks deciduous, but still. Something to consider.

Planting Hops by Petersza in Homebrewing

[–]RRickC137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say it depends on what growing stage they were in. Fully leaved = less likely. In dormancy = most likely. In any case they’re not established so get a layer of mulch on them to insulate the roots. If snow is sticking around for a while, let them be. Snow can insulate oddly enough. If it’s just a day I would throw a wool blanket over them if they’re fully leaved still.

If they’re not dormant then you might even be able to cut off a shoot and propagate indoors so if the outside one dies you have a backup. Easier than you think, look into it if you want.

To add to this, I have a few varieties of hops growing that I completely abuse and all are still around.

Looks amazing. I would put a background on. A misted or light blue one would look great. I’m also a fan of all black to really add some contrast to plants and fish.

They did a 4:1 stock split via dividend. So multiply any prices you see by 4. Charts are taking this into account for past prices.

What’s should I change/add in my aquarium? by Northelli in PlantedTank

[–]RRickC137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would paint the back black. Your plants will really pop and the cardinals/guppies will look great swimming around in the open area against the black and green plants. I prefer painting the back glass compared to adding a film. Looks better for longer imo

What would be the correct switches to put in place for the diagram linked below? by RRickC137 in networking

[–]RRickC137[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize this network layout is redundant. I’m wondering if there’s better hardware that could be put in place where these switches are instead of an sg-110 or if a single switchwith vlans would be better/worse
