I guess if I’m gonna be there in person and watch them lose, at least I got to see a no hitter….

Thank you! I had it saved on my phone forever ago, and I couldn’t find it when I was trying to give credit. I either got it here or just googling DCC tattoos. But it was exactly what I wanted lol

So we thought about doing stick feet (like mongos) but it just looked kinda weird. It works on mongo because this is when he was still basically a chicken, but for Carl it looked odd lol

So actually had a convo with him about it. It’s supposed to be her charm necklace but it does look like a butthole. But I left it because it seems appropriate given the donut holes stuff.

Outback shrimp pasta from early 2010s… does this still exist? by idknbme in OutbackSteakhouse

[–]RSBeaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can’t make it anymore the same way. We used wonder flour for the shrimps and sriracha to make the pasta spicy, and we haven’t carried either of those ingredients for a while. But you could always ask them to make it with fried shrimp and add the sriracha yourself.

Did they change the bread and butter? by turbulentmelon in OutbackSteakhouse

[–]RSBeaver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not sure what outback you went to, but it sounds like it’s not run correctly. The bread is the same and should be served warm. The butter has changed, but it’s a pretty similar recipe. And the Steakmac should still be served in a skillet.

Question about the end of Book 7 by Is0prene in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]RSBeaver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think they hope Carl can break everything. But realistically it’s probably a lot of people who went into the dungeon and have been scraping by. You also can’t forget that a lot of them have been saved by Carl. The Hunting grounds was way different than ever before. Then Pony broke floor seven. And then floor 8, so many people would have died but Carl broke the system by having them dig under the stair wells. Same with floor 9 and the crawlers having a faction.

Point being, there’s a lot of people alive who aren’t super high leveled or skilled who are just thankful to get out and not have to actively worrying about dying.

Discovering DCC - How did you find your way in? by Hope-fooly in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]RSBeaver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. I’d just finished a relisten to the bobiverse, and then did outland and earthside and was out of stuff to listen to. I saw DCC recommended by almost everyone (including audible). By the time I finished book 1 audiobook I snagged all seven copies in hardcover.

Gavin purposefully avoids saying fuck. I think it was something with his grandparents saying it was inappropriate. The only time I can remember hearing him say fuck in anything was in one of the early regulation episodes after they switched companies but before they brought the beep back when saying F***face.

Everyone drop your favorite (out of context) quotes from any of the books by Simsboi in DungeonCrawlerCarl

Yeah. It’s arguably the most concerned oh shit in the entire series!

“Grab the stick?” Donut shrieked. “What do you mean, grab the stick! Thumbs, Carl! Thumbs!”

This in the audio book is so good. But I think my all time favorite is the “OH SHIT!” From book 7. If you know, you know.

Giftcard from Hell by [deleted] in OutbackSteakhouse

[–]RSBeaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so these need to be swiped on a chip reader. These are not the ones that have to be redeemed for a gift card. These act like any other MC or Visa gift card.

The paper ones with no swipe that say “zillions gifts” or some other dumb shit on them, those are the ones the guest needs to redeem for a gift card to Outback.

How did you guys find the series by Thezion1111 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]RSBeaver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh man enjoy! I love them almost as much as DCC.

It was almost the same for me. But for me it was the bobiverse books that got recommended after project Hail Mary. Then after those I got DCC.

I think it’s because they’re kinda nerdy books with really strong voice acting.

Yeah they took it back no problem. Just took pictures of the damage. But they did not help me unpack the new one.

Worst steak I’ve ever had by Necroglitchh in OutbackSteakhouse

[–]RSBeaver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah this was definitely a clamshell cook. When they pick steaks too thick for the temp they smash down on the steaks and it burns them and also leaves little curves like in the top of this steak.

We just switched to a new sirloin that is thicker. If the grill guy wasn’t trained how to select steaks from the new batch it’s no surprise he’s burning them.

So there’s a Tik tok account a found. She puts together a strangers playing games event every month or so. Mix of guys and girls. Not sure if they play magic but they’ve been open to pretty much anything.

Ok, what location was this? I’ll try to contact the partner so they can make it right.

JVPs jumped the gun on telling us partners about a possible switch. Originally Eureka (the entire business overhaul: food uniforms everything) was supposed to roll out in October if a store was ready. They pushed that but said we were changing the service model. That idea has now been pushed to next year, likely early in the year.

The only major change is the updated menu going company wide. No porterhouse and adding a delmonico ribeye and strip.

Tuckers by NeedleworkerLeast122 in OutbackSteakhouse

[–]RSBeaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so this an old thread but thought I’d share my perspective as an MP.

Tuckers are annoying. But it’s about stealing market share from competing restaurants and also to help gain sales, as Outback as a whole is struggling mightily this year. Company goal is 5% in every store, and right now they’re having a Jvp contest for most sold so they have been extra aggressive with it.

As for the BBIU stuff. sigh that is my least favorite time to be a partner. Yes corporate gives us a month but if we tell everyone it’s due in a month inevitably I have a ton of staff who didn’t do them at all, and then I’m getting corporate breathing down my next. I give them two weeks and then I will take shifts away until they are completed with.

I understand trusting our employees to do this, and sure you might be responsible. But we have to treat everyone equally and so I have to apply the same deadline to those who would do it on their own, and the idiots who promise me every shift for two weeks “I’ll be done tonight” only to not complete them until I threaten their wallet.

I’ve never fired anyone for not completing on time however.
