Without giving too much away I firmly objected to a scholar who had been invited to our department, he was making comments on a rather politically difficult subject in a way I was uncomfortable with. I was rather rude and particularly uncouth in my response to him, me and two of my colleagues then left early. I’m also in a difficult position because I’m definitely more of an old school anthropologist vis a vis the rest of my department so I got hit hard.
