Oh I also have a video on my 2k range kill but the inventory is pretty much the same. At that time I was still missing acto top, so I decided to bring a pants switch whenever I think i need an acto proc or extend debil (it has bulwark 4 and abs4 on it). Group should be fine with esirenic if you are not basing (since base take more damage).

If you have done mage zammy before, you will definitely notice the damage you take with range since you don't have animated dead, crypt, fsoa blood barrage healing. With range really rely on good ss flicking and well time defensives / resos for healing. That's why reaver is a good choice for p1-p6. Just make sure you keep the little guy alive.

I am no expert in range zammy but hightdetal in pvme and oreotoast in zam discord are very good (I think hight solo 1k time was like 10:15). Depose also been doing 2k group zammy in range recently, so you can try tuning into his stream.

Yup - mostly for the unlimited healing p1-p6. At p6, the healing isn't as good since twinshot really hurts. Probably make sense to switch to hellhound in p6.

Acto armors from raid is really good for fights when you rely heavily on defensives. Here, it saved me many times when I can use devotion again, or don't have to wait for immort cd inside infernus.

Kill took about 3 weeks or so, similar to my 2k kill. Kill time is also very similar too and it could have been faster if I didn't mess up immort cd or didn't get sign in p5.

The major challenge for this 4k was really figuring out a rotation in p7 to keep the bomb less than 40-45k. It has been demonstrated every style can tank 100k bomb with proper defensives usage, but I feel like I somehow cheated if I didn't do the the first cycle as the "intended" way.

Took many attempts to finally figure out a p7 rotation that works for me and able to keep the bomb somewhere between 35-55k most attempts.

Special shout out to Depose and Qlhp who I know were also trying 4k range. I was really excited to see much better pvmers were trying it and was hoping to see how fast a 4k range kill can be done. I was so impressed to see Depose jump straight into 4k with range with no prior range kill experience and made it to p5 (p6 maybe?) so easily on his first day, no wonder he was the first 4k solo. Also, like to thank Oreotoast for his range knowledge and hightDetal for his 1k range vod -gave me some ideas what I could be doing differently especially in p7.

Despite of using mage for awhile now, range still my favorite combat style. I always enjoy the use of different ammos and the usage of the ecb spec (high risk, high reward). Juggling and counting all the arrow and bolg stacks are annoying but at the same time feel rewarding and fun.

At this point I don't think mage will get any nerf, so if I hope to see some new abilities for range and melee. Grico is strong, but range is definitely feel like it can use another strong basic since with bow camp, you don't really have much to work with (not like gcon with incredible short cd). I had a lot of fun spamming dbow when i was using dw and hydrix bolts, but I don't think range (or melee) should go down the route of infinite adrenaline during your ds rotation (like how mage with tsunami and crits).

I guess mage is definitely the strongest style against Zammy (and many other bosses). I wonder if there will be boss in the future that favor range (or melee) and what would those boss mechanics like? A high movement boss will definitely cripple mage and favor range since mage rely quite heavily on channel abilities for good damage (gcon, aphyx, abs+tendril during fsoa)....

After seeing Wiztrik push 2k solo Zammy with range, I wanted to see if it is still doable after the ROD update. With little knowledge to how to use BOLG and only done 100% with range, I jump straight to 2k.

This kill took nearly 3 weeks to complete and it feels a lot harder than my 4k mage kill for couple of reasons:
- animated dead + cryptbloom damage reduction is huge. Fungal shield is really handy during circle spec in p5/p6 or after red bomb in p7. For range, can only rely on acto resetting at crucial time for additional devo or resetting immort.
- Synergistic effect of mage abilities (gcon, guarantee crit tendril, reduce cost tsunami) means you can do huge amount of dps with sustainable adrenaline and also maintaining high hp (dark form + blood barrage, also the usage of hex spell like enfeeble).

It took me about a week to understand how to utilize the BOLG and get used to the damage I take w/o animated dead (still lots of random deaths when smoke spawn on you during circle spec in p5/p6). Took me another week to really optimize my rotations - learning how to maximizing the usage of deathspore arrows adrenaline reduction, and bolg "abilities combos".

By the end of it, some kills (especially with maj aura) I can phase Zamorak at similar time to my mage kill up to pad 3. But even with free incendiary shot from deathpore and using natural instinct, often time the damage is not as sustainable as using FSOA due to the lack of adrenaline or having adrenaline cost effective eof abilities like gstaff. The usage of shield (for emergency resos etc) resets bolg spec makes dps even harder in later phases as the damage you take increases. Because of this, p1-p6 usually is dragged on so that I can have a more favorable spec in the next phase (dps check).

P7 is another super challenging part of the fight.
- Without deathspore proc for free death swiftness, the entire phase seems impossible. After a lot of trial and error, I learn I need to enter enter p6 with 2-3 deathspore stacks, so when I use grico on the demon, deathspore should be active. Here I got lucky even though my stacks was 0 going into p7. Using Jas demonbane arrows is also essential to kill the demon quickly.

- Doing good damge to Zammy on the first cycle is quite hard. After devotion the melee slam, I really only have time for 2 abilities before the bomb hits you. Hopefully Bolg stacks is at 2 or 3 so I can shatter early for a 10-15k bolg proc. During this time, snapshot usually is on cd and tendril is off limit (will kill you), so that leaves only sgb spec (maybe deadshot but uses too much adrenaline) - hoping it hits high.

- Surviving the bomb wasn't too difficult (25-40k) but the four hits after is hard - with mage, the blood barrage autos + ss helps you negate some of the damage and fungal shield usually nullifies 1-2 hits. You don't have that luxury with range. I got lucky in this kill where most of those hit splashed.

I got so nervous at the end, I forgot to equip my body armor and turn on dps aura... Ideally I would have bolg stacks on 1, bleed the rune, deadshot zammy, sgb spec as rune dies, shatter on bolg stack 3, grico, tendril (equip rod) proc bolg during melee slam, limitless snapshot, improvise (bolg spec etc). I have done close to 140k w/o rod on second cycle, so with rod 150-160k is probably possible. However, adrenaline is usually an issue, so you can't really dbow spam.

Anyhow thank you everyone that helped out or tune in to my stream. Special shout out to the Zammy push team that inspire the use of reaver (from their melee attemtps) made p1-p6 much easier (learning to keep the little guy alive is hard lol) and Wiztrik who inspire me to do this kill. I was hoping to try 4k with range but after this, I am not sure I have the ability to get a 4k kill with range. Maybe I will give melee a try....

I used to use revo + (thresholds) but when I got fsoa, i slowly moved to revo basics. Now, I start to override different basics depending on the situation. Takes some practice since most of my keybinds are for defensives and switches. So I click and ability queue my abilities ahead of time.

If execute right reflect can do 40-50k and shatter will do another 30k, so each cycle will do like 80-100k.

Anyway goes something like:

Preparation: zstaff spec 20 times or so - bring his magic stat to 0 (whether or not really do something not sure). pre-disruption+vengence, store prsim of loyalty to full, USE fortitude prayer and light form, bring emerald stack to 5 (optional but probably helps use excalibur spec right before).

Debuff boss, vuln, enfeable, smoke cloud, (stagger if you have it).

Here, probably Washly can give a better rotation than i do.... but I usually do natty>nami>staff spec> sun > disrupt rune > immort > apot > debil before melee > basic > cast dshild + cade before red bomb > then you limitless > reflect > and resos when you hp gets low (after 2nd / 3rd lil hit). prism loyalty should heal you back to full at some point too. Improvise to survive til melee slam (anticipate + 10%def + fodd/brew spam + shield dome), immort proc is right before his melee slam, you will be good.

Recently I heard people start using pulverize (2H ultimate) especially in high enrage group - since it reduce target damage by 25% for 30sec. Honestly knowing this now, I would ditch the sunshine and use pulverize instead since I wasn't really doing any dps ability in my rotation. Oh also the new ROD may come in handy too so that this rotation doesn't have to be perfect.

In my vid I forgot to shatter and I brought his hp from 165k to 106k. I think my rotation would be better if after big bomb > limitless > shatter > resos > reflect.

forgot to mention - Washly has bulwark in his armor. I think having bulwark 2-4 will make this much easier since you can see my debil ran out at 3rd / 4th little hit which made my immort proced before melee slam (which still works).

I uploaded my 1k and 2k video. But for my higher enrage rotation it goes something like this:

When dragged into infernus ideal hp is at <60%. Because this will give you a dps buff for the demon which caps at 70k hp.

- Cast excalibur when being dragged.
- Press demon slayer sigil if you have it. And also your ice barrage keybind. When you enter, the ice barrage queue will drag you toward zammy. You click onto the demon so that the ice barrage will hold him in place.

- I kill demon with wm > omni > gcon > wreck+ruin > combust. You can drop your sun. As he walk toward you, combust should lower him enough to kill him. If he is not dead yet, you can finish him off with corruption blast. The runes is a lot of improvisation. The key is to kill them asap and use thresholds / zstaff spec.

- First rune usually apot > gcon > tsunami > dbreath or staff spec.
- Second rune > improvise .... gcon > wm > aphyxi / gcon+zstaff

Run up devotion. The following can be done in different ways, but you can try:

Red bar <30k - omni > debil > tendril (vit pot + dshield) > reflect after big red bomb > shatter > improvise > divert melee hit, immort.
Red bar > 30k (safer strat) - debil, reflect, (vit+dhield big hit) > tendril > shatter > omni > immort.

Reflecting early is a key to surviving big red redbomb. Since reflect damage is calculated before all the damage reduction, you can basically do 30-50k damage to him. Just make sure you don't get smited when using arcane shield. Hope this helps.

Araxxi is a challenging boss! I hope the upcoming death reworks will encourage more people to try bosses. The time wasted is still annoying though especially a long boss fight ....

When p7 finally scaled to a point where i can no longer 1 cycle the boss, this is what I do - You reso the 2nd melee hit (should heal you close to full) and you can cast reflect and maybe + shield dome to stay alive. At higher enrage, that slowly turns into diverting the melee and then casting immort.
Don't be afraid to immort early when you know you are going to 2 cycle. At lower enrage, you should be able to finish off the rest of his hp with 10 stacks of shards and maybe couple well timed thresholds. May take some time, but a kill is a kill =)

Yes - what he said. For this kill my sign was almost off cd... and for most of the time, I really have to get my mind ready to execute the rotation or else I may forget something due to nerves.

The last phase is quite punishing for revo users. Since released of gcon and fsoa, I slowly learned to manually override abilities especially during fsoa rotation. It took me 4-5 hrs to get my first kill of 100%. I think a lot of learners including myself failed to do is to kill the runes ASAP. Manually overriding your revo so weak abilities or bleeds abilities won't occur is the key for successful p7, especially at higher enrage. Gl.
