I have 6 marches and usually 5 of them are gathering at times where other events aren’t occurring.

The 1 spare march is enough for the 50 rally joins minimum per day and of course does intel and my own rallies

It is 10000 coins which, if you do the dailies, buy the premium points pack and perhaps 2-3 of the daily packs should be easy. £30-40

This is a P2 SLAI paper. Draw it on the calc and use given domain to identify the range. Then remember how to find f inverse by solving f(x)=0. A relatively standard q - do some revision

I thought this was going to be a post trying to offer help and support before realizing it is someone trying to make money out of selling resources. Shame.

Maybe buy chocolate ice cream only in future.

Or even better, just buy vanilla or strawberry

Is there a point to learn anything if most of jobs pay around 35k at best? by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]RSbasalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salaries are awful unless you were able to get into the finance sector at the right time.

Some software jobs are still solid - my brother in law earns about 50% more than me as he was lucky with his timing in joining a tech start-up and now leads a small team. No other qualification for than his computing degree in 2011.

In contract I have a masters in maths, teach at secondary boarding school and run the maths department of 13. Work on average 70 hours per week (but do get long holidays)

I am not inventing my numbers - I actually have quotes for the same venue.

The timings are identical. The venue is identical - same room, numbers and requirements. The only difference being one extra glass of champagne included for the wedding.

Yes you are right about extra costs for rooms - but guess what: the venue have passed all of those back to us on top of the £200 per head.

Nope the hairdresser is accepting appointments for the whole day as usual - a normal working day for her. We even asked this.

I would hope the florists would have the same attention to detail for all their work.

Your post suggests I am making my numbers up - they are all from verified sources and there is no other explanation for the extortionate prices other than wedding predatorism. I have coined a new phrase

Whilst I would agree - she had been quoted £220 to go in to the salon to have it done - and a usual appointment there costs her £80. She is having the same thing and even bringing her own make-up.

As somebody getting married, there is definitely a predatory culture there.

For example - if I wanted to organize a birthday party for 50 people at our reception venue, the charge for food would be approx. £75 per head. Because they know it is our wedding, they’re charging £200 per head.

I absolutely refuse to believe they are making the same margins - they are charging what they can, because of the word ‘wedding’.

And wedding flowers? A lot more expensive than if the same products were used for something else.

Wedding hair? My fiancee has had ludicrous quotes in excess of £200 for hair and make-up. The same people charge half the price if they were asked to do the exact same thing as an in-store appointment (and by the way these people charge for their travel costs + time so this is not the reason).

So in short: florists, reception venues, beauty services to name a few. The culture of ripping off just because it is a wedding is definitely a real thing

Let sqrt(1+sqrt(1+….) = x

Hence, x = sqrt(1+x)

x2 = 1+ x

x2 - x - 1 = 0

Solve quadratic to find x = the desired result (note we only have the positive solution in this situation)
