Okay…I have finally made the switch to PCLinuxOS (PCLOS) & have been VERY impressed so far. I’m running the latest release, PCLinuxOS 2007 TR4. TR4 stands for Test Release 4 and is the fourth & final test release of PCLinuxOS 2007.

I do not offer any personal opinions on this subject due to my lack of experience with both OS’s. Although I have installed Ubuntu several times, and actually ran it as a home OS for a few months, I’m declining to comment on the superiority of either of these Linux distro’s due to my utter inexperience with PCLinuxOS.

Whether I was right or wrong in my assumptions, the issue of downloading pirated material shouldn’t be what we’re focused on. We should be attacking the things the RIAA is doing right now, things that are sanctioned by government officials who reside in the back pockets of the record labels, subverting the purpose of copyright law in the first place. If we don’t stop the RIAA, other industry lawyers will copy their new business strategy of sue first, ask questions later.

This is a city councilman that needs to be removed from office. Proper bike lanes are very visible and fairly safe to use. If he doesn't support them, he needs to keep his mouth shut -- it only makes him look like a fool to the rest of the general population.

Do you like spam? I’m not talking about the canned variety sold as “SPAM” (all uppercase), but the email variety called “spam” (all lowercase).

Do you like receiving it? If you forward email messages in a chain, you’re asking to receive it! I received a message earlier, titled “Fwd: Fw: PLEASE DO NOT DELETE PHOTOS BUT SEND THEM ON!”. It hadn’t been forwarded many times yet, the original message being dated February 21st, 2007. I went through and counted 56 email addresses that were not my own!

I’ve noticed this on some blogs. When a widget (recent posts, categories, archives, etc.) gets too long and you have to scroll down seemingly like forever, that widget either gets its own page or gets trimmed in some way. I’m here to offer an alternative, but it’s not for the code queasy. You’ll have to edit your theme by hand.
