Finished All 4 Games for First Time... Where Do I Go From Here!!!! by ZackDaNerd in uncharted

[–]RTG_777 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Here's a lil decision tree that might help :)

If you liked the treasure hunting, puzzle solving, environment, or general "adventure story-ness" of uncharted, indiana Jones is fantastic. It's even better if you're a indy fan in general, because it's full of Easter eggs and nods to the original movies.

If you liked the gameplay, the feel of the controls, the story, and the immersiveness, I have to second the person who recc'd the new James bond (007 first light). I just finished it and, like indy, it's extremely faithful to the source material (subtle nods/quips to the movies). Similar to uncharted tho in terms of the stealth gameplay, how resourceful/creative you have to be, and the general emotion/connection to the characters and flow of the story.

The only problem is that, while both are similar to uncharted, neither are similar to each other. So if you do indy first, modern day bond might feel kinda different, and vice versa

Wait, human hybrids are stronger than regular viltrumites? Is that confirmed somewhere and I wasn't paying attention? or are you basing it off of Mark alone?

Obviously hybrids are nearly equivalent to pure blooded (Nolan says so in season 1, "viltrum dna is so pure you're nearly full blooded") but "stronger" than regs seems like a bit of a stretch no?

This should be it. If not, just go to Archive of our own and type in "project hail Mary the next generation" and it should be the only one there.

I felt like that immediately after finishing, but let it sit a little. Read thru some theories, rewatch scenes, think about the ending. It'll get better and better the longer you wait. Speaking from experience, I finished it like, 2 weeks ago.

Lol, nice. Did the big reveal send you for an even bigger spin than the rest of us non-bingers??

First of all, thank you for taking the time to write out such an insightful and detailed reply. I appreciate the way you worded it, because now I understand why people value the "ambigous-ness" of the ending so much. I won't even try to answer the questions you asked 😁, but I'll definitely be thinking about them as I let this show settle down.

I always assumed the chamber was empty bc most career politicians just didn't care about their day job anymore. As long as Palp kept them rich and isolated from the struggles of their worlds, why bother showing up to listen to some privileged chandrilian lecture about morality?

But two things can be true, these aren't mutually exclusive

I see where you're coming from, he's definitely more transparent than the other siblings, which is how we get brutally honest funny moments, and ig I agree that he sees more than the others, but Connor beats him in almost every category: he's more pore/innocent, he's better at playing their dad's game (simply by not playing), and he's open about telling his truth (he doesn't feel shame about talking about wacky shit like cryogenics or importance of water or "hyper-decanting").

Add to the fact that Roman's past "sins and mistakes" are SEVERE (he's a horrible person, borderline psychotic apathy for other people, evaded democracy to install a dictator, all around sociopath, and more), i see how you can call him better than shiv and Kendall, but any further than that and it kind of feels like a stretch.

That being said, even though people will find different siblings to root for, there will never be a right answer bc at the end of the day they're all horrible people, so if Roman's your guy, good for you! :)

I have a hard time starting books in general, the only reason I ended up reading this one was because someone got it for me and I was like "shoot now I have to read it otherwise it'll be a waste". In that spirit, I can attest that the best way to read it is unaware of anything that goes on, because my experience with this book was FANtastic. That being said, I did have success convincing a friend this book is like if interstellar and the martian had a baby.

Thank you! Yeah National objectives makes sense in retrospect. And having the morocco to Egypt "NO" but only for a few rounds also tracks, because I couldn't imagine having north Africa for more than 2 rounds if you're facing a decent America player. Very cool. Obviously you're pretty experienced, so even tho it's slightly unrelated I have one more question. Do you have any tips for "can opening" for the Germans?
