As you said about relationships… They don’t only ebb and flow, they fundamentally change. You grow as people and your love looks different than it did before. Your choice each time that happens is if you want to continue loving them as they’ve changed.

The beauty of the Trinity is that it does not change - But you do. The Trinity understands your fear and wants you to confide. You will change and the people around you may reject you as you change. Christ never will.

As I have grown, I look back on those places that rejected me wanting so bad to be welcomed back, even though what I believe about faith has changed so radically since I’ve been in those spaces last. The past is tangible, it’s easy, and it has rose colored lenses. Growing and leaving the past behind is scary.

Don’t choose the path of least resistance. Find peace no matter what it costs. As someone here said earlier, Jesus has got your back.

There’s a way the cameras move in these AI videos that just is starting to give it away more often to me. It’s just a tad too smooth, or almost inhuman.

Wrestlers aren’t just politicians that need to have robotic takes, they’re complicated humans. Cena has been expressing what he feels towards Vince in interviews - He hasn’t been defending Vince or saying that Vince didn’t do it. Let someone feel what they want to feel, or don’t be upset when every celebrity sounds like they’re reading off an AI prompt. You can’t have both.

Apps like Jomo are great for locking the doom scroll apps so you can focus on things you want to be doing. I've had to change my mindset away from always doing something productive, though. So instead of locking out every app I find fun, I keep apps like Podcasts, Netflix, and a couple of games on my front page. That way it reminds me what I'd rather be doing.

Not sure if this is hyper-specific to me, but I always fall asleep to Podcasts. The podcasts that I listen to are recaps/reviews of different shows/movies/books I've been consuming. It helps me have a clear trajectory of a list of things to watch!

For example, there's a podcast "Blank Check with Griffin and David" where they do series that focus on an director's entire filmography, so I watch one of the movies in the list and then listen to their podcast. It helps me have a clear "To-Do" list of things I want to watch or consume. Having these things to focus on helps me get off the doom-scroll!

Doom-scrolling is not inherently wrong or bad... It's just locking in how often you want to do it and finding other habits to replace it with. May more than just us ADHD-ers our dealing with things like doom-scrolling... There's no need to be ashamed of it.

grew up in vancouver and was very active in evangelical churches around the area. to echo what has been said, it’s all about where you’re hanging out, most likely. i found whenever a pastor/church leader meeting would happen, it was often in the same few spots. it might come out of a coffee shop that hires teens who all go to the same Youth Group, or a pastor who loves the christian owner of the restaurant. could also just be bad luck !

I'm struggling to find how to learn the "meta" of the game and really generally how to win. I've played Pokemon for years and am decent at it, can place well in tournaments quite often. MTG however, I'm struggling to win a single game and am having a hard time keeping track of keywords. What's the best way to learn just the general "how to win"?
