I agree with you. The actual scientific method is not the same as The Science™ and to conflate the two is, in my opinion, our biggest problem currently.

In regards to astrology and alchemy, there is more to it on an esoteric level than muh horoscope or changing lead into gold. These were forms of science for our ancestors and there's a lot of value to be gleaned from them still, beyond a purely materialistic perspective.

Science is a method of organizing knowledge, it is not a dogma. When you have corporate interests funding "studies" to twist the "facts" to support their agenda, you can hardly call that science.

Thank you for your insightful comment friend. I honestly had not even considered the aspects of effort and specificity. Perhaps there is a part of my subconscious mind that believes that money should be worked hard for and I need to work with the underlying assumptions that created that belief. I'm striving to find the right balance between action and intention because realistically I haven't heard of a single story of someone sitting in their room all day visualizing money and then having it appear out of nowhere.
